We stayed at 4 properties during this trip to Ireland and this was my favorite. Very peaceful just the way we like it. The town and restaurants are close by and there are several tourist places to visit only about hour drive away. Beautiful property, really enjoyed our stay here!

You were the loveliest guests. It was such a pleasure to have you. Welcome back anytime at all. Anita :)
We went with our 3 kids - 15, 13 and 7. We all loved the house, especially the pool table! We had all the facilities we needed. Checking in was easy - the instructions were very clear. We were visiting family in Cavan Town which is very easy to get to. Thank you for letting us stay and we will definitely be back again!
My Husband and I booked a 3 night break. Everything we needed was provided. We ate in The 7 Horseshoes, food was fabulous. We also went to the Castle Bar, live music on the Saturday night and had a great evening.
We had a lovely stay in this house. Situated on the river, it was a nice and peaceful retreat. We were an extended family of 6 (all ages) and this house and surroundings suited us all. Close to Belturbet, Cavan town, Ballyconnell etc. I found this house well situated as a base for travel slightly further afield. Contact with the host, Anita, was easy and prompt. We had great fun with the pool table also. Great for all the family
Everything was as stated. I give the highest rating, but it is important to understand difference in culture when renting as I go with several Americans. The house is Irish, so certain things are not as you would expect of a Norwegian or American home. And if you Irish you would probably look at the homes from these countries differently as well. You are supposed to provide TP, soap etc outside of what is the starter pack provided. That is normal and can be done at any store. The house is great, the pool table cool and a lot of small things meant to entertain you is provided outside of what you expect. That is what renter provides. This is fantastic for groups, families etc.It has all amenities and everything worked great. Area was gated community, close by anything would need. And in Ireland, walking distance means anywhere you can walk to in 30 minutes. And the centre of town is certainly reachable within that time. Along you will also have pitoresque view, farm animals to admire, and a city wall you will only find in Ireland. Anita is flexible and willing to help you making your stay better. Can not ask for anyone better!

Why they chose this property
Cavan is a highly underrated county with lots to offer and just a short drive from Dublin. The house is surrounded by a number of small scenic towns with very friendly locals and some great food. There are plenty of lake walks and hikes on the doorstep also. It’s a lovely place to getaway
What makes this property unique
The house feels instantly warm and welcoming enjoying an elevated spot with views over the river which makes it very relaxing. The large open plan living dining area which opens out onto the back patio is a great space for catching up with friends and family. The addition of the open fire and pool table also make for enjoyable nights in after long days out exploring. I have had some great times in the house and hope you do too!
