Beautiful property! We enjoyed the nice peaceful lake and views. It was like going into another world. We enjoyed exploring Chattanooga and seeing the Ruby Falls. My husband wants to come in the summertime. We will definitely be back.
Wonderful stay.. beautiful, comfortable, quietWonderful stay. Had some small issues but were answerwmed and taking care of immediately by owner. Would love to stay again
Great view of the mountains and lake from porch. Me and my boys loved watching small lizards in the rocks. We caught a few catfish, bass and gar from the dock. Was in good location. lots to do in the area.
Nice place to spend Thanksgiving with the family. It was very private but also close to Chattanooga.

Location and views were fabulous. Well appointed kitchen. AC couldn’t keep up with late July heat. Stairwell is a safety hazard for small children. Space was very good for 7 adults and 3 children. With just a few changes this could be an excellent rental. We enjoyed our stay.
I had a wedding nearby and hopped at the opportunity to host some close friends and family here and it was the best decision. The property is beautiful and Michael & Joanie were absolutely wonderful to work with. Hands down the most accommodating hosts I’ve ever experienced. Could not recommend this place enough! :)
We found this beautiful home looking for a place to stay while our girls played softball nearby. We are tired of hotels and find the travel much more enjoyable when we share a house with a family or two. This house was perfect for what we needed.
The property was gorgeous with a great view of the river. The surroundings were quiet. And dock was accessible by car, so it made loading and unloading the boat easier than walking everything back and forth. Communication with the hosts was seamless and there was room for everyone!
The owners of the property were very responsive and worked to solve issues. The A/C would not properly cool the cabin due to the high temps so Joni drove 3 hours to bring us portable units. The property was overall nice, but could use some maintenance.

Nice View
The house had a nice view.
When we got there the water smelled like rotten eggs. Low water pressure. 6 adults and two children and only one hot shower in the mornings.
The bathroom in the master bedroom had a sunken tub which included the shower. No grab bars, no steps. Dead bat hanging from front porch. It looked good with all of the spider nests.
We left two days early!! Very disappointed!
Nice View.

Attention Needed
I understand it’s a Forrest but the whole entrance was excessively full of webs, not maintained at all. Even the door entrance was bad. There was a scorpion inside the main shower, then a centipede came out. All the curtains were falling off. Two of the beds had a bad dip in them. There were too many little doors. Way to creepy! Not comfortable at all!
Property in a bad condition not ready for hospitality
We came all the way from florida to Chattanooga 12 hours of driving, we checked in at midnight tired and exhausted when we open the door we found the floor coved in broken glass all over the living room, tinny pieces that needed a vacuum to clean it away that were missing in the property. Sheets and pillows were old and dirty The microwave was broken dirty and greasy, same the oven and the freezer. no dish liquid were available, bathroom had no running water, in the kids room we found spider’s nest and spider cobweb on the windows which was scary for the kids and cause them sleeping on the living room couch for all our stay. the light in the living room wasn’t working although we tried to replace the light bulb. The house is neglected and in a bad condition the stairs are slippery and rickety. A lot of attention needed in the house not welcoming very disappointing.

Review of River and Mountain View Spacious Lodge
My husband, myself, 3 daughters and grand children attended a family reunion in Chattanooga. We knew a home would be much more comfortable than a hotel. First thing we noticed was the lovely wrap around porch with two gates at either side. This was a great place for the kids to play and we didn't have to worry about them getting out. The house has some lovely features. We enjoyed the sun room, utilized a wonderful laundry room, plenty of towels, nice pillows and the views are gorgeous. It was actually a 2.5 bath house which was nice.
The things that I was disappointed in are the following.....TV's VERY outdated, to get the TV on was a maze of steps, needs a universal remote. Movies were VHS tapes, one of the kitchen cabinets had a door missing. No mixing bowls, Went to open mini blinds and they came tumbling down to the floor. It was a working vacation for my husband and the WIFI was EXTREMELY slow and continually crashed. That was bad for my husband but actually good for the rest of us. Kept us off our devices and plugged in with each other. Electricity went out one evening (no fault of the owner) but could have used some emergency candles. All of these items mentioned above could be easily remedied! For the price, I was expecting things to be more updated. Over all we had a great time.
Don’t go in the summer. Poor house maintenance and ac upkeep led to ac not working for two days. He wanted us to stay and wait for repair guy. We wanted to get out and enjoy ourselves but couldn’t bc we had to wait for his problem to be fixed. Second bedroom downstairs was so cramped. And upstairs loft room was so hot, no ac unit upstairs. Be careful not to bottom out your car from the giant pothole in the end of the driveway .
The best part is that you can only lock the door when you are inside with a key. And there’s only one. That’s gotta be a fire hazard. 🤦♀️
