This little house is in a sweet neighborhood. It is clean, with beautiful wood floors downstairs and carpet upstairs. Centrally located for our purposes and a good choice for the price. We ended up not bringing our dog because of weather concerns, but there are good dog walking places in the area. Near shopping and restaurant areas in Mariemont and Madisonville. Driveway and yard could use some work, but yard is fenced and there's a nice deck in back. Thanks, Seth!

There was a heavy odor of cigarette smoke when we opened the door. Despite it being listed as no smoking. Had to go out and get air fresheners. Messaged the owner who never responded. Dirty dishes found in dishwasher which also smelled. Had to hand wash the dishes and silverware just to be on safe side. And dirty towels found hanging behind bathroom door. Backyard full of weeds and hadn’t been cut in a while. Have stayed at other VRBO properties, this one was the worst.

This guests only message to me stated, "we are settled in. When we got here, we noticed it smells like cigarette smoke. We are non smokers, so wanted you to know." This is the only message they even sent and I did respond. After their stay we checked the property and neither the cleaner nor I could detect the smell of smoke. Idk. The cleaner may have missed the towels and the dishwasher, idk, because it was never mentioned. I apologize for any inconvenience, but there was no lack of communication on my part.
Excellent location with comfortable furnishings in updated house. Was very functional for our visit in Indian Hill with family. Furnishings and multiple walking paths were ideal for our dogs. Better parking than sites used previously in the neighborhood.
Seth was quick with and on time with all the house information. The home is in a nice neighborhood, a lot quieter than I expected. You can tell he is updating and adding things to make the home more comfortable for guests. We would stay here again the the time comes. Also, just a few blocks away is probably one of the best coffee shops, The Madison Place. And a few minutes away is Golden Hands Bakery, also top tier!
Seth was an excellent host with very prompt and open communication. Was very impressed and recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the madisonville neighborhood of cincinnati!

Outside has never been cleaned up. Dead leaves sticks everywhere leading to mosquitoes. Inside clean comfortable nice. Driveway horrible. Huge craters and mud.

The front bedroom smells of cigarette smoke, pee stain at the top of the stairs, oven was not cleaned, old food was in the oven moldy. I turned the oven on not looking in first and the entire house filled with smoke from food stuck to the bottom of the oven. When i contacted the host he just said sorry it was over looked but no one usually uses the oven. The worst part! I went to bed on the second night to wake up to a bat in the bedroom with me. So now I'm going through rabbies vaccine series. When i called the host frantic, he says what do you expect me to do. It's the middle of the night and I'm in bed. So we packed up and drove 5 hours home in the middle of the night. My money was refunded, but I'm the one who is going through rabies vaccines and my dogs had to get reboostered. This has been a terrible experience I can look past a dirty oven not a bat in the bedroom.
The house fit for what we needed for a quick weekend. The only thing I would add is that I wished I knew that you couldn’t move the thermostat below 70 degrees. I sleep hot and my thermostat at home gets set to 64 overnight. So, I was hot at night. Other than that, everything was as described.

House was quaint and relatively clean (just cob webs and dead bugs here and there). It was nice not having to park on the street but the driveway had a huge ditch that filled with mud and rain multiplie times during our stay. We loved having access to an enclosed backyard (could’ve used some sprucing up) but met our needs great. The only thing that we found a little frustrating was the upstairs window by the stairs not having a privacy curtain, since it’s right outside of the bathroom and master bedroom. We were generally pleased with our stay overall.

Although the property is listed as non-smoking, there was a strong odor of smoke as soon as we walked in. The home was very clean though. Shortly after arriving a young woman was pounding on the door looking for a bunch of guys and we assumed she was looking for the past renters. (This was around 8:30pm) Due to the smoke smell and not knowing who might show up next, we opted not to stay and rented a hotel instead.

I went to the house to verify the guests complaint and did not detect any unusual smells. While talking to the neighbor I found out she was the young woman knocking on the door looking for her son who had befriended the previous guests son. The "bunch of guys" was a couple of 5 year olds. Hahaha. And the woman is the mom next door.

Safe area, enclosed backyard. Not a place to stay if you are looking for comfort. Just the very basic necessities. Definitely a cigarette smoke smell. Seems like the host has a tendency to not visit this property.
