Enjoy panoramic lake views and resort-style amenities right in the heart of Meredith Bay! Positioned on a hillside directly behind Akwa Marina, just 200 feet from the water, this home offers instant marina access alongside stunning views of Governors Island and Spindle Point.

This traditional, vintage-style home features classic character, rustic wood accents, and steep internal stairs (not great for elderly), making it a comfortable, laid-back base for enjoying everything the lake and marina have to offer.

Included Akwa Marina Access:

Resort-Style Amenities: Large sandy beach, swimming pool, hot tub, volleyball court, bocce court, two outdoor fire pits, and shaded pavilions.

Akwa Marina Beach Bar: Enjoy poolside food and waiter service, live music on some afternoons (check the events calender), and unique drinks at the Annona Bar, a classic wooden sailboat transformed into a bar.

House Details:
This classic 2-bedroom hillside cottage comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests.

Main Level: Light-filled living spaces, a fully stocked kitchen, A/C, two bathrooms (one full, one 3/4), and a large deck leading into a sun porch overlooking the lake and mountains. Includes outdoor furniture, a grill, smart TV, and Wi-Fi.

Upstairs: Two bedrooms, each furnished with 1 Queen and 1 Twin bed. (Note: Consistent with traditional older homes, the staircase leading to the bedrooms is steep).

Parking & Laundry: Off-street driveway parking available. Please note: There is no washer or dryer on-site.

Location & Nearby Attractions:

Weirs Beach: Just a 2-minute walk to arcades, local dining, shopping, mini-golf, and weekly summer fireworks you can watch right from your porch.

Around the Bay: Half a mile to Funspot (the world's largest arcade) and a quick 5-minute drive to downtown Meredith.

Four-Season Fun: Direct access for winter ice fishing (host site to previous derby winners!) and a 15-minute drive to Gunstock Mountain.

We had an amazing time, Went for Laconia Bike week. The location was perfect and use of pool and hot tub was convenient. The only thing that needs to be improved is the TV/Cable situation?? Could not watch NBA Final, or Stanley Cup final, could not get anything not even local. Would be great if you had a Smart TV so people could use their own Stuff and Stream TV's in Bedrooms would even be better. We hope to be back next year same time.

The location was perfect and the yacht club across the street felt like a resort! A little expensive for the drinks and food. But it was nice to have it available. Having the option of the lake or hopping in the pool was great! One thing worth noting, if we were staying longer than 3 days (late check in, mid morning check out) may have been challenging. We were asked to bring all sheets and towels and there was no way to wash them. Also the kitchen is limited if planning to eat at home. It was fine to keep prepared things in the fridge but if you want spices, you need to bring your own. Lastly, the deck stairs and stairs going up to the bedrooms are uneven and some broken. I would not recommend for elderly or family with young children. Overall, we hope to be back next year for a bit longer! We enjoyed ourselves very much!

NOT a "home away from home" and NOT as advertised! This property depends so much on its location and access to Akwa Marina's amenities to cloud its many deficiencies. The trip was so uncomfortable. I'm baffled as to why it got so many 5 star reviews!Positives: great location with akwa marina access (pool is not heated, hot tub is great), almost lakefront, great outside spaces, decent fridge and AC.Negative: kitchen barely stocked (we had to buy everything at Shaw's - salt, pepper, caffeinated coffee, foil, foil pans, kitchen towel, ice, etc ), no washer/dryer!! (how long has it been since the mattress protectors or bath mat were washed??), both baths are small and 3/4 (not a full and 3/4 bath as advertised which made bathing the kids difficult), no kitchen island, small and slow tv, stairs to bedrooms with small steps and very narrow space to walk up, and (as stated) ZERO linens, pillows, blankets, any towels, facial tissues, soft mattress, cheapest toilet paper...

We LOVED the location of the house. It was perfect to have access to the lake and pool right across the street! The bar was great. We could get picked up by our boat right at the dock. Walking to downtown was easy and the house was a wonderful fit!

What an incredible spot! The house was in good shape, a little outdated in some areas but overall very clean and comfortable and everything worked perfectly. The resort was also really clean and wonderful - having a private beach was awesome! The communication with the ownership was clear and responsive. Overall a great stay!

Lake Stay

We really enjoyed our stay at the lake house. It was great that we could walk across the street to the beach and enjoy the amenities of the Akwa Marina and Beach Club. The house was set up well and had AC throughout. We would definitely stay there again as it had a New England rustic charm.

The house was very nice. The location was great. The club house right across the street was cool with its own beach and lake side pool. The deck on the house was great with a great view of the lake. Would love to rent again.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay, it was a rainy week, so we spend a lot of time inside. The house was spacious and the veranda was great for family meals. We also appreciated the access to the marina installations. The only negative point is the train that goes by a couple times a day, which can wake a young child during nap time. We would stay again.

We had an amazing stay! The home is a little older and the upstairs stairs are definitely steep, but beyond that it was perfection. The giant sunroom and deck overlooking the lake were absolutely incredible—we spent so much time there soaking up the views. Having access to the Akwa Marina club was such a fun bonus, and the location couldn’t have been better. It was an easy walk downtown to enjoy the arcade, bars, restaurants, and more. We’d come back in a heartbeat! Owner/manager was great to work with, as well - quick to respond and very helpful when we asked for some recommendations on renting a boat.

Amazing property and location

We loved our stay. The house was perfect and the beach and pool at the yacht club we had access too was beautiful. Communication was timely and very friendly. We blew a fuse and someone came right over to fix it. The screeened in porch was perfect for night time card games. Weirs Beach was a 5 minute walk which was so convenient- loved our vacation - will definitely be back!!!

This house was an incredibly comfortable home base for our family's vacation. The deck overlooking the lake was awesome, and the two full baths were clutch. We enjoyed the Akwa Marina beach and pool daily. Such a fun vibe, and the kids enjoyed the ping pong, bocce, and volleyball courts. A quick 5 minute walk to the boardwalk offered lots to do, and the location also allowed for quick drives to other towns and great hikes. Would definitely recommend this spot!

A true hidden gem! Our stay for a long weekend was great even with the rain. House was perfectly advertised with easy access to the pool and beach. Stairs were steep for small kids; recommend bringing a baby gate if possible for top of stairs. We will definitely be back!
