Awesome vibe and very fun place. If you are looking for a really cool, quiet getaway this is it. Not fancy, but at the same time it had everything and a personality that you don’t get just anywhere. Definitely a great place for a couple to get away to.
Our overall experience was great. My wife loved walking and seeing all the animals, including hanging with Mya. We loved the walking trails on property. We would recommend this property to any heading to the Chattanooga area.
Cute home, very clean! Host was great- providing little extra touches like fresh eggs and coffee! Beautiful property - loved seeing all the animals on this farm.
Eclectic, cross between farm and musicians! Pig, cows, chickens (free fresh eggs included), friendly dog greeting, guitars for playing, amps and mics!Go to their bluff and see all of historic Bridgeport. The extremely wealthy of 1890 Bridgeport retreated to this mountain retreat during the summer to avoid the heat and mosquitoes.Thoughtful and kind host, thanks!
The farm was a perfect stay to enjoy our anniversary! Very quiet and peaceful and the animals were a nice touch especially Mya We had a great time with all the gaming options. I do recommend for future guest to bring house shoes as the floor is a little cold in the mornings. Overall a great place to stay!
A wonderful cabin on a beautiful property. We loved seeing the farm animals in the mornings (including some adorable piglets) and enjoyed the fresh eggs that Dottie left for us! The foosball and ping pong were such fun additions to have. Will definitely come back!
The place was clean and equipped with everything you would need for a few nights stay. The property is nestled away on a beautiful bluff. The hosts were easy to communicate with.
We were in the area for a wedding, so the easy checkin and friendly animals were the perfect stay for us. Clean, quirky and charming - hope we can come back again!
We loved staying at the rustic cabin. Its a great place to relax little country living. Next time we would like to come back during summer months ! Thank you for having us
The land and cabin exceeded our expectations in every way! The hosts were great about communication and the cabin had everything we needed and special touches to create a magical and relaxing space.
This property is exactly what the listing said it was. A nice farm house with an attentive host. Mia, the farm dog, was a nice welcome party for when we pulled up to the house. Definitely recommend stying here if you grew up on a farm or are just looking to get away!
Wonderful stay at a fantastic eclecticss unique place, with an emphasis on music and animals. The farm dog is super sweet and loves to greet. The hosts left us fresh fruit, vegetables and eggs from their farm. As we left, we had a wonderful conversation with the host, and she let us admire their expansive view of Bridgeport from their mountain top bluff. Thank you!

I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay! It was a pleasure meeting you and your guests!
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 adult daughters. The property was exactly as described and Dottie & Mike were wonderful! We really only had 2 full days to do everything we wanted/need to accomplish while we were there, but I would have loved a little extra time to chat with our hosts because they are so interesting and the property has such cool history! We loved all of the sweet extra touches in the house. Thank you so much! We hope to return soon.
My wife and I needed a quiet weekend getaway. This cabin fit the bill perfectly. It is somewhat secluded, but near a town with necessary conveniences. The cabin was well maintained and comfortable. A sitting area with two beds upstairs and a sitting area/game room and kitchen downstairs. There is also an outdoor, covered sitting area with a TV and fireplace. We watched soccer games there in the evening when it was cooler. The kitchen was well stocked and convenient. The property is also located on a working farm; so, we had access to fresh eggs and fruits and vegetables you can pick yourself. It reminded me of my young life growing up on a farm. For other entertainment, there are also walking trails and good selection of books to read. I read one about the development of the solid body electric guitar while there. The communication with the owners was prompt, efficient, and informative, and fees were reasonable.OK, in an effort to provide a fully encompassing review, I will also note a few items that some may find inconvenient. The TVs are relatively small and are some distance from the seating areas due to the arrangement of the rooms, which made them hard to see to read text, change channels, etc. for my old eyes. As I mentioned, it is relatively secluded; so, a 15-20 minute drive to nearby towns if you choose to go to a restaurant, etc. Otherwise, a perfect stay and we would stay there again.
If you want something different then this is the place for you. It is extremely unusual in both build and decoration. Getting there up the winding mountain road then down the long gravel drive adds to the adventure. We were greeted by Mya the farm wonder dog. She followed us in (after being invited) and made herself at home. She loves cuddles and belly scratches. Fresh eggs from the funny looking chickens were waiting in the fridge. Very friendly pigs were also there. (this is a working farm) The host made her blueberry bushes, peach trees and vegetable garden available to us. We could not have asked for a better hostess. The only negative (not for us but for some) are the stairs. This is a 3-level house. Access to the second level is up narrow, steep steps then access to the sleeping loft is up a very narrow set of spiral stairs. This is not suited to overweight or out of shape guest. Also, there is very little privacy. The upper sleeping loft looks down on the bedroom. If you want to stay in something very unique and off the beaten path this is the place for you.
Definitely one of a kind cabin where ya feel like ya stepped back in time. It was well furnished, had clean smelling sheets, the host brought us extra stuff we asked for which was so kind. The farm fresh eggs were a special touch. We especially enjoyed the game room/living room. The reason I didn’t give 5 star review was it wasn’t as clean as I’d expected. I immediately swept the bedroom upon arrival , as well as the pavilion which had a lot of debris from not sweeping in a long time. Otherwise it was ok.
