This was a lovely apartment which was beautifully done with everything that was needed. It was clean and in a nice location, very quiet, close to buses, easy walking access to shops and restaurants. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable. Unfortunately, the stay was marred on day one when my son, having just arrived, knocked on the hosts' door to ask about the wifi code - he was told to refer to the sheet in the apartment. As there was no sheet, he went up to ask again and the host threatened to call the police. This did not make us feel welcome.
Expectations were not clearly communicated to the tenant. The Landlord did not communicate when things were not as they expected. The tenant was evicted with little to no notice (less than 24 hours)The Property is not in as nice a shape as the pictures portray.VRBO was great with assistance in this matter with refunds. Not recommended to stay here - Location great - that is where it ends

Thanks for your review Kelly. All the expectations and the house rules are clearly stated on our posting and by booking the place you have agreed to the rules. Our suite is none smoking and the guest was a chain smoker and smoked a pack every day and we also found empty cans of 12 pack beer everyday behind the door. The place was left filthy and I had to apologize to my cleaner and pay her double. Thanks for mentioning that the guest was evicted that only proves what a horrible guest we had.

Liked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Very nice little basement apartment, nice neighborhood, lovely fenced yard; communication issues
Mostly enjoyed our stay here, had everything we needed, quiet, and beautiful yard/gardens, secure yard for our dog. They even had patio lights at night! The communication, however, could use improvement. First, we had to request check-in info on our arrival day (it hadn't been sent,) then it didn't include wifi info, had to ask for that. Then the password was sent without telling us which network it was for, we just tested all the networks until we found the right one ourselves. The next day, we were asked to leave the carport, told we were parking in the owners spot, when they had specifically told us beforehand [in writing] that the carport was for the suite we were renting. When we mentioned this, they did acknowledge "You are right. I should have added that it is available upon request, so I could let the owners know that was your preference in advance. Sorry for the confusion."Despite all the communication issues, we had a great stay here and would rent it again in the future.
