Enjoy our Cozy Cottage year round, not just a summer destination. In the fall, winter and spring, you can really enjoy the deck with the cooler temperatures.

This welcoming cottage in Tool on Cedar Creek Reservoir Lake offers a peaceful retreat for guests. With 2 queen beds spread across 2 cozy bedrooms, this home provides a serene space for relaxation. Enjoy the convenience of amenities like central AC / heat, WiFi, washer/dryer, full kitchen with coffee maker, outdoor grill and Blackstone Griddle, fire area and use of 2 kayaks during your stay. The 2 bathrooms are equipped with showers, complementary shampoo, conditioner, bath soap and hair dryers for your comfort and convenience. Experience the magic of Tool at our charming house with great lake views. Enjoy morning coffee and evening drinks on the large deck.

Equipped with 2 single-person kayaks, (with 2 adult life jackets), in a protected canal, off a large cove just off the main lake. Dock is in calm water which eases the onboarding of kayaks.

Other outdoor features: Outdoor fire box with chairs, charcoal grill, large deck with tables, chairs, umbrellas and private dock. Cast a line from the dock or venture out onto the water. Cedar Creek Reservoir is known for its abundance of bass and crappie, making it a fisherman’s paradise. Many fishing competitions are held here.

2 Queen bedrooms with overhead and ambient lighting, ceiling fans, and bedside tables feature USB ports and plugs. In one bedroom, enjoy 42" Roku TV, attached bath, wireless phone charging. The secondary bedroom is close to the second bathroom. One Queen roll-away bed. One Queen convertable sofa.

Feel like cooking? The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, bakeware and utensils, even a waffle maker. Filtered water available inside refrigerator for refilling your water bottles. Coffee maker has carafe or ability to make single cup. The dining area has a nice view of the lake

Feel like relaxing? The living room features 2 cozy, sofas, a 65 inch smart Roku TV, a game area that includes chess/checker board and other games to enjoy during your stay.

Local Attractions:
Figs Steak House: Enjoy a top dining experience at Figs Steak House, (by reservation) just 5 minutes away. Amazing world class food you would normally only be able to enjoy in the big city.

For more casual dining, Figs Backyard. Want to try out line dancing, 2-stepping? Visit the Plowboys Club, with a wonderful cajun cuisine. (For all restaurants, please check availability, as hours of operation vary during the year.)

If you want to stay in for the night, Brookshires is available, about 10 minutes of property. There are condiments at the property, so check prior to purchasing more.

Whatz-Up Fun Park -Go-karts, laser tag, bumper cars, rock wall and mini golf. Friendly and fun atmosphere for kids and adults. 10 minute drive.

Walmart - in Gun Barrel, about 15 minute drive. Gun Barrel also has a plethora of restaurants.

Athens - About 30 minutes drive.

Canton: under an hour away, with charming shops, restaurants, and local markets. Don’t miss Canton's First Friday. First Friday is a celebration of arts, galleries, shopping, and dining and entertainment, in Downtown Canton.

Our host was amazing. We were blessed to actually meet her. The house was wonderful. We had all the comforts of home. It was the perfect location for our shopping venture to Canton and Emory. The neighborhood was quiet and we enjoyed our view of the water. I highly recommend the Cozy Cottage. Definitely on our list of favorite places to stay.

We had a nice relaxing weekend. The place was super cute and the neighborhood was very quiet. The house had everything we needed. Dawn was easy to get in touch with and very nice to work with. From the recommendation given for the area to the little extras provided, she made the stay really nice. I would love to stay here again.

Relaxing Weekend

We enjoyed the location of this property because it is in a cove where our grandkids were able to swim in the lake as much as they wanted. It was quiet and peaceful so we got some much needed relaxation.

Amazing Stay! Peace at the Lake

We stayed for a spring break weekend getaway, it was amazing, our host was beyond excellent, she was very communicative throughout our stay and left instructions for grills and recommendations for local restaurants. I found this home for an anniversary weekend getaway and to go shopping at Canton Trade Days. The property on the water was beautiful! The cozy cottage is such a lovely home, it was very clean, and everything we needed was provided. Ms. Dawn is an excellent host, easy to contact, and quick to respond. I can’t wait to come back again!

This is exactly what you're looking for when you think "lakeside rental." The lake almost literally could not be closer. We weren't here for lake activities. Just old friends catching up in a comfortable cabin with GREAT views. It's on a channel. So, you don't get an expansive view of the lake, but you certainly get a feel of being ON the lake. Very nice space and nicely furnished. We cooked a couple of meals and had everything we needed, including a nice variety of spices. We loved it and hope to come back and visit!

My friend, boyfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights. We had a very nice, relaxing time. Went into Gun Barrel to eat dinner. My boyfriend fished and caught about 2 or 3 huge catfish. Would definitely come back!!! Cozy, clean home!

Owners are extremely nice and quick to respond to any questions or concerns. Their place is very clean and welcoming. I took off one star because we found the beds very uncomfortable. We like a firmer bed and both beds are extremely soft. The mattresses sinks in when you lay on them. My husband slept both nights on the couch. Other then that are stay was very enjoyable.

Perfect Getaway

This cozy cottage was clean and well maintained and decorated. Everything was thought of by the host and we had the best time. We truly felt right at home. The beds were comfortable. The back deck was wonderful. The lake was beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone. We will absolutely be back.

Amazing!

We had an awesome stay at Dawn’s! Very clean and just as pictured! The views are amazing! We were there for a school fishing tournament but when not fishing the boys loved the kayaks while I enjoyed the relaxing on the deck! Dawn is very receptive if needed but other then a question needing answered, we never had to bother her since everything was great! Hope to come back in the future!!

I requested a little something special from the owner to surprise my husband for our 8th anniversary. The owner went waaaaay above and beyond what was expected to both of our amazements when we entered the home. She had welcoming, soothing music playing at the time on tv as well. The view was awesome, and kayaking was spectacular! All was fabulous! Highly recommended!

The Hosts were very welcoming and helpful to make sure our trip was great! Thank you for your hospitality. We rented for about a month during a transition after our house sold. This is a great safe place to stay. Clean house with 2 rooms and a pullout bed sofa. We fished and caught catfish and crappie. We visited the Lakeside Outfitters bait shop nearby which was great. We kayaked and caught crappie under the boat docks. This is a great property to visit. We cooked and got groceries from the nearby brookshires. The brookshires has a few fishing supplies also like worms and hooks. This was a great time for our family of 5.

My husband and I are new hosts, and are not currently living in the area, but come out from time-to-time, as we enjoy the lake with our family and want to share with others to experience the serenest of the lake and wildlife. We love watching the fish jump, the turtles relax and the comorants, herons, and many other birds fly around.

Why they chose this property

We love the peace and quiet of the neighborhood, nice for walks or bike rides. During the nice weather, you will see folks drive around in golf carts. The neighborhood boat ramp is 3 houses down from the house.
