Fabulous

We have just returned from a wonderful week in this gorgeous house. The position up a track revealed a house open to amazing sunsets and tranquility. The house had everything we needed, with a great music collection ! The local beach was beautiful where we swam everyday. The only slight downfall was eating out, we found it quite expensive and the food was not great, so we bought fresh fish and had barbecues with the sun setting.. We would recommend this house to anyone couple or family it was great.

Kea Island - "Pinnacle Holiday Property Experience"

Owner met us at the ferry port upon our arrival on Kea Island. Then he"showed us the way" us toward their 180 degree ocean view, 2 bed 2 bath house on top of the hill within a 20 min walk of Xyla beach. Hosts Maria & Leonidas are great! Their villa provided us with a great place to "call home during our holiday". Their place was clean, well equipped, nicely decorated, with comfortable beds & provided a peaceful serene site for gazing at the sea while relaxing with all the required amenities. Highly recommend a visit to "CASA XYLA" for any cruise ship travelers disemabrking at Piraeus. Just drive 1.5 hours south to Lavrio port & then board a 1 hour ferry ride to Kea Island. We look forward to our next future visit to this wonderful little house on top of the hill overlooking the ocean! Thank you Maria & Leonardis! Sincerely, James & Tamie

Wonderful house, nice owners, great atmosphere!

The house of Maria & Leonidas is simply wonderful, just like its owners. Their house is: tasteful, warm, welcoming and friendly, equipped with everything you need, stylish with understatement, and full of pictures, music, books and great views of the surroundings. There are many beautiful homes. This one is beautiful and has soul. The sunsets there are just wow, better than any movie. Spectacular colors in a wide panorama and later the moon comes by and reflects in the night sea and many stars can be seen. What a great gig in the sky... ;-) Xyla Beach, about 1km down the road, is also beautiful. Not crowded, crystal clear water. A car is necessary and 4WD is definitely recommended, both for getting to the house and around the island. A 4x4 Panda is definitely sufficient, like the "little mountain goat" we rented in the port of Korrisia. Our conclusion: recommendable. Definitely! Jámas. Perfect in every way

We had a brilliant time at this lovely home. The house is very well designed, with two separate bedrooms and a bathroom each. The living room and kitchen had everything we needed, and the outside sitting area has been thoughtfully set back a bit so that you can enjoy life outside even when it's a bit windy. But the key feature is the view which is just magnificent. We could spend days watching the sea, the boats, ships and ferries. We certainly made good use of the binoculars! And the sunsets are cinematic, every single day. We loved Kea and it's not-so-touristic vibe. Clearly, there were plenty of them (us included!) but it makes a difference that many houses on the island belong to Athenians who mostly come over the weekend. It meant the beaches were really quiet and everything is just easy. We found Xyla beach one of the best on the island. Great for snorkelling and swimming alike. You can walk into Korissia via the back road which will take about 45 mins and offers some great views, particularly when ferries arrive. Leonidas was a great host who made the arrival and departure easy for us and was always there when we had a question. We had hired a family sedan which got us round the island just fine, definitely no problem getting to the house and the nine or so different beaches we visited, but if you want to explore all of Kea, you may be better of with a 4x4 as some beaches are hard to get to.

Das ist wirklich eine super schöne Unterkunft !! Wir würden sofort wieder kommen- Die Aussicht von der riesigen zum Teil überdachten Terrasse ist Wahnsinn- jeden Abend Sonnenuntergang in den schönsten Farben. Das Haus besteht eigentlich aus 2 getrennten Häusern, absolut Pärchen tauglich… dazwischen eine große Sitzsecke mit Verschattung. Alles top gepflegt und super sauber. Auch das Wohnzimmer ist sehr geräumig und wir konnten sogar WM-Spiele im tv ansehen. Ein nagelneuer hochwertiger Webergrill komplettiert die sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Leonidas hat uns vom Hafen abgeholt und uns bereits Wasser eingekauft, den das Wasser aus dem Hahn sollte man nicht trinken. Er war super freundlich, hatte uns tolle Tipps und war immer sofort erreichbar. Das Haus liegt circa 4 Kilometer vom Hafen entfernt, die Straße wird gerade gemacht und ist noch nicht easy. Auch die Auffahrt zum Haus braucht etwas Mut, wir waren froh um unseren Allrad.

Beautiful Greek house

The house has a very welcoming feeling to it and is tastefully decorated. There is everything you need if you like cooking whilst looking at the sea. The outdoor space is spacious and the sunsets gorgeous. The house is ideally located if you want to explore the island. Thanks to Leonidas for his kindness and useful advice. We would love to come back one day.

Absolutely impeccable!

I have been to the island many times, so no surprises for me. However, the seven days that I spent there were not enough! The villa had everything that I ever wanted. My children felt really comfortable there, and us, the parents had all the time to enjoy the outstanding view to the sea. The villa is well designed and protects you from the wind when this occurs, without any compromise on the sea view, which is great! The house was in an impeccable condition, exactly the way my family likes it. Leonidas was very responsive when required and a great host. I do not have any suggestion for improvement to make. I will most definitely return to the villa. It provides the perfect setting for relaxation. Thank you for an impeccable vacation!

bellissima vacanza

Abbiamo trascorso 8 giorni nella casa di Leonidas e Maria. La casa è molto carina, in ottima posizione (vicino a spiaggia e abbastanza vicino al porto) e ben attrezzata. Si vedono tramonti bellissimi Una camera è distaccata dalla casa, ma ha il suo bagno. Kea è un'isola bellissima, molto selvaggia e poco turistica. Leonidas è stato genitilissimo e ci ha dato un'ottima pianta. Fondamentale una macchina 4x4 perchè le strade sono molto dissestate.

a beautiful island, and the perfect location !!

our days in casa xyla were fantastic. stilish , with all the necessary equipment also a beautiful cd collection the terrace just in front to the sea and the sunset unbelivible the best position in kea, only 10 minutes driving from the port , even less.., and 10 minutes walking from one of the best beaches Leonidas , very nice host, polite , expecially careful with all the details we'll return for sure matteo

Un véritable Home

Une superbe vue depuis la terrasse qui est au diapason de notre séjour dans cette maison. Petite île aride avec beaucoup de séduction entre Korissia, Ioulis et Orkos. Entre les couchers de soleil face à la maison, la voie lactée à admirer tous les soirs, de beaux moments passés. La maison est largement conforme aux photos, décorée avec goût et finesse , très bien équipée et très proche de l'une des plus belles plages de l'île. Le sympathique accueil de Léonidas et sa discrète disponibilité confortent l'impression d'être de vrais invités. Destination à ne pas manquer pour les amateurs de tranquillité sur cette belle ville de Kéa, pour laquelle un 4x4 est bien nécessaire pour la découvrir complètement. Encore merci à Léonidas. Ideal spot. Feels like home!

It was an ideal house on a perfect spot if you want to enjoy the Aegean sea on a beautiful, and not fully discovered yet, Greek island in Cyclades. Kea has a lot to give you if you like to explore nature and ancient history and we also found out that it has excellent food and an elegant nightlife. But the best was the spot of this house and how it felt like being home on a Greek island away from the buzz. The beach, one of the best we've seen in Cyclades, is just 10min walk or 3 minute-drive from the house (you will need to hire a car on the island to get around). Xyla beach is just amazing and you can stay until the sun sets, just in front of your eyes. The house had everything you need to feel relaxed and easy-going, very children-friendly and very cool. And what a view! Like being alone on the Aegean sea... Fortunately there were less mosquitoes than we thought due to the friendly summer breeze. We need to be there again. Thanks.
