We fell so in love with Percy Hill! A truly magical place, perfect for family gatherings and long term stays. We stayed for 4 months and will recommend it to visiting friends or those looking for a rental. Highlights for us (November-March) were: beautiful panoramic views, the best stargazing, open fields and woods to explore, bird and wildlife watching, proximity to gorgeous beaches, walking distance to the Little Red Door bakery and Double Hill Cidery, close to restaurants and shopping in Montague, but an easy drive to Charlottetown. Sebastian was a welcoming and helpful host with great recommendations for things to do. We had plenty of room for our family of 6 and loved having our holiday meals in the sunny dining room. The house is stocked with everything you need for cooking, relaxing, and cozy nights by the wood stove. The kids had a blast sledding on the hill and building snow forts.Percy Hill is beautifully decorated, clean, and charming. We already miss it and can’t wait to see it in summertime!
The property is exceptional. Incredibly clean, very well furnished and a really peaceful location. I highly recommend this properry

Absolutely spectacular! Our stay could not have been more pleasant.
Wonderful property, excellent accommodations, all the furnishings we needed, and a great kitchen with all utensils and many supplies. Our host was most supportive, and stopped by for a nice visit. When we come back to Prince Edward Island, we expect to stay at Percy Hill.

It was a pleasure to be the property of your choice this year. Thank you so much for your stay and we hope to see you again at Percy Hill
This property was very clean and well taken care of. It has everything we needed. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious. Lovely place to come home to after a day of exploring.
We chose this site as it is close to where we were working. However, the sunrises and sunsets at this location and in a beautiful room full of windows were gorgeous!! It would be a neat place to stay for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen is also nice and all utensils we needed were there to prepare individual meals or shared meals for the four of us!!
the title says it all. Great communication and the property was large enough for everyone in the family to have space within the home and to wander on the property
This is a gem of location. I know everyone thinks Cavendish and Central PEI, but this area is so lovely, calm, and quiet and not far to some of the most beloved beaches. The house is unique and charming. Definately requires some fixing up on exterier deck, some faucets need replacing, and a running toilet. But honestly, because we don't live there it's not hindering enjoyment. The grounds are well kept and was very private for kids to run around. And let's not forget down the road is some of the best cider we ever tried, Double Hill. Would highly recommned.

The perfect famiy holiday house in a healthy and beautifull environment.
The house is very spacious and confortable. You feel right at home as soon as you visit the vast property. Light is every where due to the multiple windows in every room. It gives a joyfull feeling.
The hosts are charming and not complicated. Rain or sun shine, the experience is relaxing and smooth.
On an island where intense and big scale commercial agriculture is the rule, we realy did appreciate the completely organic farming that we found all over the surrounding land. The place is quiet, near all the principal activities and the scenery is remarquable.
We would go back any time and we will recommand the house to our friends and family.

Thank you Michele. We really appreciated having you as our guests. We are glad Percy Hill was such a good fit for your family getaway.
We also thank you for leaving the place spotless after your stay.
Percy Hill is a gorgeous property. The massive size allowed for our pups to run without concern and each had plenty of room to exercise each day. The kitchen is equipped with everything, and the library offered up a couple of great reads for the week. The home is bright, clean and well appointed, plus loaded with antiques and art! We enjoyed just walking about and perusing the interesting pieces that are displayed. The claw foot tub was a huge bonus!
Getting around the island is time consuming, however, we found the adjacent towns had all you need and the proximity to the beaches and NS ferry is excellent. We particularly enjoyed Panmure Island for hanging out and finding dinner!
We loved our stay, and would certainly return to Percy Hill should we ever find ourselves in PEI again!
We just spent 3 lovely weeks staying at Percy Hill and we really fell in love with the house. The farmhouse represents the charm of the farming communities that dot eastern PEI. The few things about the house that did not meet our expectations were outweighed by the good things. We loved the bright airy feel of the house, with it's many large European-style casement windows that both tilt in from the top and open fully. The view from the master bedroom was welcoming every morning. We found the house to be very clean when we arrived. The kitchen was fairly well-stocked, although there were a few items lacking (coffee pot was subpar, badly scratched non-stick skillet). Our host, Sebastian, was easy to reach and one maintenance item was taken care of quickly. The upstairs shower stall is quite small, but still functional. The downstairs shower is much larger. The only disappointment that kept this from being an easy 5 stars for me was the living room seating. When we look for a rental home to spend time with family, the main living area is very important to us. The living room seating was not the furniture we saw in the photos. The main sofa was, in my opinion, beyond it's useful life. There was an arm chair that was also worn. The loveseat was newer, but not good quality and sat too low. Investing in more comfortable seating would make this a fabulous home.We already miss that old farmhouse and would definitely stay at Percy Hill in the future.
The home was perfect for our needs. There was lots of room for our family of 5 and tons of outdoor running space for our dogs. The remote location made it feel very relaxing. Thanks for a great vacay.
Effet Wow garanti!

A wonderful location, with sea views, and plenty of space for a big family. Beautifully furnished and well equipped. Thanks, Sebastian!
We enjoyed your "Nomad" cider as well!

Stunning, beautiful...don't miss it.
I'm sorry you didn't get my review but no problem saying it again.
The home was absolutely fantastic and the property surrounding it just beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this home to anyone. In fact I have given info and pictures to a friend that is very interested.
The library was amazing and finding a cozy corner to read is no problem. The owner Sebastian stopped by for a visit to make sure all was well and gave us directions for different activities etc.
Go and visit you won't be disappointed.

Blissful
We rented this for a four day writing retreat, myself and three friends. Peaceful, serene, comfortable, all we had hoped for and more. Lots of space for privacy to write alone and good space for getting together to eat and talk. The kitchen has everything one could want - I am pretty sure I saw a pasta maker in the cupboard! Don`t bother bringing anything to read, there are tons of books, a great selection in three languages. Comfortable mattresses. Would rent it again in a heartbeat.

Peaceful, secluded retreat
Percy Hill is a lovely farmhouse on a south-facing hill, surrounded by farm fields and woodland. The renovated interior is bright and comfortable and there are many thoughtful little touches to make you feel right at home. The kitchen is well laid-out and fully equipped. The bedrooms are beautifully furnished (the downstairs bedroom we slept in had an extremely comfortable mattress). There are well-stocked bookcases and a home entertainment center (but we didn't use it much--we preferred to sit after dinner with the lights down and watch the red Christmas lights of the Nova Scotia wind farms across the Northumberland Strait twinkle on and off). Our visit in early- to mid-October was perfect, with warm weather and only one day with a little rain and mist. The number of stars visible was phenomenal! Although many attractions and businesses were closed by the time of our visit, there is so much natural beauty and numerous places to take a long walk that our days were full. Percy Hill is about 30-40 minutes away from the Stratford/ Charlottetown area where we did our shopping. Sebastian is a gracious host who respects his guests' privacy. He welcomed our two well-behaved dogs who loved the place, especially the trails on the property. He was quick to answer any questions we had. It was our first visit to PEI and we are planning our next trip already--definitely worth the long drive from New Jersey! Thank you for the perfect vacation retreat!

About the host
Hosted by Sebastian Manago
Percy Hill is part of the Caledonia Hills property that was purchased in the 1990s. The next two years were spent to renovate the beautiful home. After many years of living in beautiful places all over the globe, we decided to move to Prince Edward Island because of its beauty and its people. Percy Hill was built as a place to relax and re-charge our batteries. I trust if it did the job for me then, it will do it for you now.
Why they chose this property
Percy Hill is situated on a uniquely beautiful piece of land. The landscape surrounding the house includes a vineyard, organic fields, rolling hills, and protected all the while you can see across the straight to Nova Scotia.
What makes this property unique
Complete privacy. You will not see a single house from the property. We also operate the Double Hill Cidery on a separate property within walking distance. We offer cider tastings, tours and a variety of food options.
