Beautifully restored 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath house on a nice, quiet street within easy walking distance to downtown Bozeman. Air conditioned and accommodates up to 7 people. Nice front porch with outdoor furniture, and great little back yard with bbq and patio.
Quilt Cottage is managed by Bozeman Cottage Vacation Rentals, a small homegrown Bozeman company with over 20 years of experience. For more reviews and information, including a self-guided 3D walkthrough, search the name of the house plus the words Bozeman Cottage.
The front porch is a favorite place to relax and watch the world go by. The back yard is private, and has a sitting area and barbecue. You'll be a 5 min walk from downtown, or 5 min the other way lands you at Bozeman's best bakery (Wild Crumb), and just a few minutes further has you at two different local breweries! The grade school playground is 3 min toward downtown, and there are other parks and trails very nearby.
The house has central air conditioning on those occasional hot summer days, and whole house fans if you want a nice breeze coming in the windows for those nice cool evenings. We offer free high speed wireless, phone with unlimited local and long distance calling, and smart able TV with extended cable, HBO and Stars.
Step into the warm cozy living room with lots of comfy seating, an antique oak mantle, and a flat screen TV with Tivo and a DVD/VCR player.
The kitchen is where we put a lot of recent effort in providing all the conveniences of home. We feel vacations should not be spent doing things the hard way, so we have lots of appliances, crock pot, bread maker, mixer, blender, food processor, etc. etc. The table seats 4-6.
The primary bedroom off the kitchen has a lot of personality with it's sloping roof and antique queen size bed. There is an antique bench at the foot of the bed too. Lots of storage space.
The bedroom off the living room can be used as bedroom (it has a twin trundle bed (with 2 twin mattresses), and if needed a first quality inflatable twin bed). It can also be used as an office, with a printer/fax/copier/scanner available. There is also all the equipment needed for a quilter if you want a quilting getaway.
The bathroom has a tub with an interesting old shower head. There is also a full size front loading washer and dryer in the 'mud room' for your convenience, complete with Dropps brand non-allergenic pods laundry soap.
The basement level has a nice private suite with a queen bedroom, sitting room with gas fireplace, and a compact full bathroom with shower. Additionally there is a twin bed near the bathroom. The sitting area has lots of seating, with a big ottoman in the center to play games on, or just lift your feet and watch the flat screen TV. The queen bedroom is right off the sitting area, with a closet for storage. There is also a treadmill for use if you didn't get enough walking around town. There is a utility corner to show off the furnace, AC, and water heater but the rest of the space is finished and has large egress south windows.
We at the Quilt Cottage work hard at making sure this is a homey environment, providing the extra things you would have at home. We have stayed at rental houses that had 2 dishes and not even salt and pepper. The kitchen is so completely equipped you could cook a holiday meal and have company over to share it. This is no sterile hotel suite.
Combine this house with other Bozeman Cottage managed vacation rentals - Northside Hideaway, Northside Modern Farmhouse, Dahlia House, or Fridley Cottage - all within a block away for more space! All houses have VRBO/Airbnb listings and lots of great reviews.
As with all Bozeman Cottage vacation rentals, the Quilt Cottage is fully equipped with a drip style coffee maker, coffee grinder, a starter pack of fresh, local Ghost Town coffee, linens, pots/pans, cooking utensils, spices, dry goods (flour, sugar, etc), and EO brand non-toxic shower products. We also provide extensive local info on everything from where to buy real Montana meat & locally grown vegetables to great hiking trails, rafting links to restaurant coupons. We believe in local economies and know the best places!
The Quilt Cottage is a licensed and permitted tourist home facility through the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, License # 301645. City of Bozeman Short Term Rental Permit #STR20-00206.

My family and I stayed at this property for our Spring Break. The house was clean and has a great location for walking downtown for dinner and shopping. There are plenty of beds and a nice layout. We would recommend.

We were 4 men aged 30-34 in town for a Ski Trip at Big Sky. This house was perfect, everything we could have asked for.
The kitchen was as you would expect at home with all the pots and pans you need to make breakfast or cook a full roast dinner. There was the basics like butter, ketchup, herbs and spices so you don't have to buy these.
The space was great, with big lounge room, bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs and a big lounge room (with open bed in it), full bedroom and bathroom downstairs.
Fresh linen, towels and washing facilities made this place feel like home.
A short walk from the main street with cafes, bars, restaurants etc.
Would highly recommend.

Thanks for posting your great review! I know that most vrbo's don't leave condiments in the fridge so I'm glad you appreciate my alternative policy on that:)

This was a well appointed comfortable home in a great location! We came to visit the university. The house is located close to downtown, and provided everything we needed for our stay. The info book had so many suggestions on things to do and places to eat. The home was warm and inviting.

We stayed at quilt cottage for 10 days and this little house was so comfy and cozy, it exceeded our needs in every way. Our MSU son had a severe ski injury and was in the Bozeman hospital. This house is just a few minutes from the hospital and within walking distance to Main Street. This house was a great place to recuperate - 2 bedrooms on the main floor, with newly remodeled kitchen and bath. Comfy living room with tv and gas fireplace. There is also a finished basement which was great for the teens to hang out, plus more sleeping space, a second full bathroom, and another sitting room with tv and gas fireplace. The home is charming due in part to the age with turn of the last century woodwork and the decor. Of course, at its name, there are lots of homey quilts around. We all felt at home as soon as we arrived. To say this house is stocked, is an understatement. There was not one thing that I reached for that wasn’t there. Every kitchen gadget you could need, even miscellaneous ingredients and spices, etc. All appliances were top notch and many obscure ones are available too. There is a fire pit and gas bbq in the back yard, and a nice front porch. The longer you stay, the more cute details you find! There is even a garden gnome and a little house. A nice bonus for us was the friendly neighborhood cat who came to visit a couple times!

This just might be the best review we've ever received!! Thank you for taking the time to detail your experience, both in and out of the Quilt Cottage. It gives me great pleasure in knowing that you appreciated the setup of the house and I'm glad that you put that new kitchen to the test. It was a pleasure having you and I wish your son a full recovery from his ski accident.
Take care, Paul and the team at Bozeman Cottage
The cottage is lovely. Well stocked, comfortable and in a great location. The only issue for us was that the pots, pans and bowls were not clean. When I brought this up with Paul, he was very responsive, apologetic and found a good solution.

Lisa,
Thank you for staying with us and the kind words. We apologize again for the dirty dishes that were put away by the previous guests. We would love to be able to wash all everything in the kitchen every time. We're glad that you were pleased with the solution. Please come back and stay with Bozeman Cottage again soon.

Perfect family vacation house so close to downtown Bozeman!
We came to visit Yellowstone - about 1.5 hr drive to the Gardiner entrance and beautiful drive in. Would have picked something a bit closer if we were just coming for the park (we only did Yellowstone 2 days out of 10) - we wanted to do some traveling to other places as well so this location was good for us. Loved the 1 block - ish location to downtown Bozeman for the New Year celebrations, pubs & shopping. House was fabulous and fit our group perfectly - two downstairs beds (1 queen & 1 twin) and a queen and twin upstairs. Slept 5 adults comfortably. Thank you for a great trip!
My family was there for my daughter's graduation from MSU. There were six of us that stayed in the house. My wife and I plus four (adult or nearly adult) children. The house fit us well and was very well stocked.
Megan was a great guest. We wish her well with her ventures here in Bozeman.
