Really comfortable home, very short walk to the beach and loved all the beach stuff in the shed to use (wagon, umbrella, chairs, etc). We had a small problem with the grill, but the host was quick to come and fix the issue. Would stay here again!

Check in was easy. House was clean. Comfortable beds,sofas,chairs. LOTS of room..nice fenced yard for our old pup. Lots of extras, lawn chairs, beach chairs,umbrellas ,cushions in the shed. Kitchen had everything needed..we called it our " crooked little house" ( because of its history, the bathroom upstairs is " crooked"...but we found it extremely charming..as folks that come from a line of " little old wooden stores" it reminded us of the 2 story wooden store we grew up with.. Totally remodeled, with nice furnishings and country charm...

My sisters and I purchased this home for our large family gatherings. We have been hosting for 4 years now and we love sharing our home with other families.

Why they chose this property

Colonial Beach is a quiet little beach town with a big heart. There are great restaurants and coffee shops,
shopping and entertainment within walking distance from the house.

What makes this property unique

The house was originally a general store built in 1920 and moved to its current location in the early 1940’s It still has some original features and modern upgrades too. The layout of the house is perfectly suited for large families. The home features a ramp at the front of the house for people with limited mobility, two large living rooms a large farmhouse kitchen with everything you need for cooking large meals. The fenced in backyard is great for children and pets and families to enjoy. The fire pit provides a quiet relaxing environment for conservation and fellowship and the covered carport with picnic table is the perfect spot for a barbecue or crab and oyster roasting.
This home provides the perfect place for family vacations.
