Sam was great to work with, making check-in easy and communicating throughout the stay if we needed him. The apartment was clean and exactly as described.

Convenient, Clean, and Spacious
We really enjoyed our stay in this clean, conveniently-located, and spacious apartment. Everything is nice and new! We only had a few wishes while we stayed: 1) more timely communication from the hosts about checking and checkout— it’d be convenient to have that information on the listing. 2) hand towels and hand soap in each bathroom— there were only bath towels and wash cloths and one of the bathrooms had hand soap. 3) one of the beds was missing a top sheet, but the blanket in the room was super comfy and cozy. It seems like this Vrbo is just getting started, receptive to feedback, and improving with each stay. Overall, we had a lovely stay, and we would stay again.
Even though we came in April it was still pretty cold. The heater was broken and the blankets provided were throw blankets you would use for a couch when lounging. No comforter, quilt, or a real bed blanket were provided until asked. They had to wash them (appreciated) but arrived went still around 11 pm and were not able to be used until the following day. Other than being cold at night it was overall a good stay!
Our stay was okay. It would've been excellent if there were common supplies in the apartment. There was only one towel per room. So for 4 people there was only 3 towels. Also, there was an iron but no ironing board. There also were no bureaus, nowhere to put your clothes except a closet to hang clothes. In the kitchen there was hardly any skillets, I think there was one, but no pots. Hardly any drinking glasses. There was empty boxes of things like a toaster, but there was none to be found. The couch is less to be desired and it's the only piece of furniture. The TV's (TCL TV) had not even been programmed much. As for the beds, there was only one blanket for each bed and no top sheet. The entire hallway, first and second floor had no light at night. None of the light switches worked. In addition, when you walk through the outside front door you are greeted by a massive baby carriage that makes it almost impossible to get by. Finally, there is not a secondary exit or fire escape or fire extinguisher. In view of these things it's clear that this place is not ready to be rented out in my opinion.

Response from VrboOwner on 26 May 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I truly appreciate your honesty, and I’m sorry to hear your experience didn’t meet expectations. Please allow me to respond to each of your points to provide clarity and address any oversights:
Towels: We typically leave seven towels in the unit to accommodate groups of up to five guests comfortably. It's possible that some of them were placed in the bathroom cabinets or closets and may not have been immediately visible. I apologize if they were hard to locate — we’ll make sure their placement is clearer moving forward.
Iron and Ironing Board: There is an iron and stand in Bedroom #2, as well as a backup set in the supply closet. I regret that it may not have been easy to find — we’ll add a small welcome guide highlighting the location of such items to make it easier for guests.
Clothing Storage: Each of the three bedrooms is equipped with a small walk-in closet and a set of hangers. While there are no dressers, these closets were intended to provide ample storage for clothing and luggage. We understand preferences vary and are currently evaluating the addition of compact drawer units.
Kitchen Supplies:
Our kitchen is stocked with a range of supplies including:
Cooking pots and skillets
Cooking utensils and knives
Plates, bowls, and drinking glasses for five people
Coffee machine, smoothie maker, bread warmer, and an electric pressure cooker
These items are stored across multiple cabinets and drawers. It's possible that some were missed during your stay — I apologize for any inconvenience and will ensure better labeling or a checklist to help guests easily locate them.
Toaster: The empty toaster box was a mistake — thank you for pointing it out. A new toaster has since been added.
Couch / Living Room Furniture: We recognize that the current seating setup may not work for everyone. We’re planning to upgrade the living room with additional furniture for better comfort and usability.
TV Setup: Our TCL Smart TVs are preloaded with streaming apps, but we understand it may not have been clear how to use them. We’re adding quick-start guides in each room for future guests.
Beds and Linens: Each bed is provided with a fitted sheet, top sheet, blanket, and pillows. If the top sheets were missing, that would have been an unintentional housekeeping error. We’ll review with the team to ensure consistency and will also place extra bedding in the closets for guest convenience.
Hallway Lighting (Interior Common Areas): This is being addressed as a priority. The hallway lighting has been reported to building management, and we’ve temporarily added lighting while the wiring issue is resolved.
Baby Carriage at Entrance: Thank you for bringing this to our attention. It belongs to a long-term tenant, and we’ve formally requested its removal to ensure the entryway remains clear and accessible.
Fire Safety:
The property complies with all local fire safety regulations as required by the City of Providence. While the unit does not have a secondary exit within the apartment itself, the building is equipped with proper emergency egress routes.
Each stove includes a built-in fire suppression system, a requirement set by the city to enhance kitchen safety. Additionally, we replaced all interior doors with fire-rated wood doors in accordance with fire code regulations, further ensuring guest safety throughout the unit.
We truly value your feedback and are actively making improvements as a result. While I regret that your stay didn’t reflect the standard we aim to provide, I hope you’ll consider staying with us again. I’d be happy to offer a discounted future stay so you can experience the updates firsthand.
Warm regards,
