Twelve Palms Cottage is nestled on a quaint and peaceful street and has been totally transformed. This 1925 craftsman-bungalow has 12+ palm trees that span across the spacious corner lot and proudly offers plenty of room for your little ones and furry friends to run around. Our piece of history and your home away from home.
The space This +1,200 sq. ft. fully renovated and remodeled one level, open floor plan, 3 bed 2 bath home boasts BRAND. NEW. EVERYTHING. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and cooking essentials. The kitchen cutout overlooks the living room and extends to the bar top that seats 3. It is situated near the dining table fit for four to accommodate your group of up to 7 for a seated dinner- your group will have the perfect set up for your nights in. Natural lighting is a highlight of this home- there are 22 windows throughout the house, bright and airy to liven up your stay.
The bedrooms, with new mattresses of quality and fresh linens, are sure to give you the good night rest you deserve. Rest comfortably knowing that in the morning hours, brightness will not be an issue as we have blackout curtains in every bedroom.
The living room features a 65” swivel mounted TV, plenty of seating and an overall high-end yet timeless decorum. Step out front on the oversized screened porch (sure to keep the pesky summertime bugs away) for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Porch swing, rocking chairs, and cafe lights are the social gathering spot you’re looking for!

Where you’ll sleep: Bedroom 1 has a queen bed with a rollaway bed in the closet that can be easily maneuvered and set up wherever is most comfortable for you.
Bedroom 2 is known as the master and has a king bed
Bedroom 3 is a daybed with two twin mattresses, one on top and a trundle underneath. The trundle rolls out and can be left side by side below the top twin OR can be popped up to meet with the top twin to create a king bed. In other words, it can be used as two smaller separate beds or 1 large bed. When the trundle is in use, it takes up the majority of the floor space and therefore there is limited mobility around the room. Please keep this in mind when booking.

This property is super clean and beautifully decorated. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Unfortunately it rained during our stay but we were still able to enjoy the front porch screened

We had a great stay at 12 Palms cottage. It was easy to get a hold of Katherine to ask her some questions, and she responded quickly. The home was beautifully redone and in a very good location. We enjoyed our days on Saint Simon and Jekyll Islands.
My family and I loved our stay here over the long weekend. It was perfectly located just a few blocks from the relatives we were visiting, and the house was the perfect size and number of bedrooms for us. Everything was true to the listing, and the lamps glued to side tables were perfect for our young kids. The ability to do laundry during our trip was a huge bonus. The property owner was very responsive and helpful when we had questions. Thank you for a lovely stay, and we hope to stay here again the next time we visit Brunswick!
The house itself was nice and clean, and as described in the listing. It was convenient to downtown Brunswick and to both St Simons and Jekyll Island. The neighborhood itself was a mix of some nice, fixed up older homes and some that needed a lot of attention. The kitchen had most basic items needed to make a meal, but was missing a toaster/toaster oven, so I needed to use the actual oven to make toast in the morning, which I don't think anyone has done since the 1950's or whenever the toaster was invented. It felt like a waste of time and energy just to make toast. I know, very first world problems, but I hope this comment inspires the host to get one.
The property itself was fine, it was just a bit challenging when I got the dog rules after paying. They wanted the dogs off all furniture and the bed. It would have been nice to know the house rules before renting. Air was a bit stuffy, would have been great if there were screens in windows to leave open. Neighborhood was nice, quiet and a great big yard. Favorite part of the house was the screened in front porch, nice to have coffee in the am. Also master bed was very comfortable!

I’m glad that you had an overall positive stay.
Our pet policy, (which is simply that pets are not permitted on furniture/beds & to pickup after pets with provided disposal bags) was created with our human guests as the top priority & with our furry friends in mind as the added bonus. In other words, we’ve created a space where cleanliness is of the up most importance as we want to ensure that all guests (animal lovers or those whom are neutral) can stay & enjoy our property.
We first handedly understand the importance of being able to travel with our dog which is why we currently do not charge a pet fee. This being said, we feel that keeping off the furniture is a rather reasonable request. I know that as pet parents we want them to be comfortable as well which is why I state “please be sure to bring your dogs bed or equivalent with you” so that guests can plan accordingly ahead of time.
I agree that there should be a place for specific house rules, in this case the pet policy, to be visible by guests before they book. This is unfortunately not an option for hosts on Vrbo’s site, therefore I will report this information up, as an opportunity for improvement!
We allow our guests full access to the thermostat inside the house and the autonomy to change the temperature. Our AC/heat system is less than 6 mos old but I’ve scheduled someone to check it out just in case because guests comfort is very important to us.
