INTRUDER ALERT*SAFETY

First, the unit is great. Has a lot of unique decorative things inside and the kitchen is very well stocked. The view from the veranda and pool is also amazing. The hotel itself is tired and needs some TLC...Now the bad. My wife and I were enjoying the rooftop pool one early afternoon, when a hotel maintenance man appeared out of nowhere. He somehow came through an iron gate that is supposed to be locked on the side of the apartment. I had to forcibly insist he get out of our rental and he stood there over a minute just staring. I was about to exit the pool, sans swimsuit, and forcibly remove the intruder when he finally left. The hotel made no attempt to inform or schedule this visit. They have no policy of maintenance people entering your rental. This was a frightening experience that caused us to leave the property immediately and a day early. Nobody needs to have a male come unexpectedly around the corner into your property.

Dear Michael, this is unfortunate and we understand how this could be a stressful experience. The hotel is responsible for the building maintenance and this is just a miscommunication between the maintenance team and the hotel. Also the penthouse is located on the top floor and they had to work on the roof. It is for sure unusual to have them show up without announcement but this never happened before. We already expressed this situation to the management and they apologize for the incident. Thank you for staying with us and we wish to see you again soon.
