We had a wonderful stay in this charming cabin! It is close to many shopping and dining options but truly is a peaceful retreat. We enjoyed the grounds and all of the little personal touches throughout the cabin. Would absolutely recommend to friends and stay here again!
The property is beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. We will definitely stay there again if we are in that area. Everything is labeled, there are fresh flowers everywhere, there was milk and orange juice, cereal, poptarts and apples.
Loved the quaint & cozy cabin. Sweet touches such as fresh flowers, chocolate kisses & filtered water. Short distance to Oak Mountain with hiking & waterfalls. Great experience overall.
Well labled home inside to understand switches, clear directions, maps of nearby activities, stuff to do on property, breakfast items stocked, activities for inside cabin, and great host.
Unexpected delight. Charming, clean and comfortable. I could relax - from reading on the porch to watching the day go by - to excellent sleeping in the cabin. Also great location for a quick drive to Birmingham or Oak Mountain State Park. David and Tracy are the real deal - just good hosts.
We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Peaceful Retreat cabin. VERY clean & nice decor. The hosts were VERY accommodating & quick to respond. The view of the lake from the front porch swing was calming. We wanted to stay longer!
Wow. What a treat! We really enjoyed our stay and my son did not want to leave. We can’t wait to come back. The simplicity adds to the charm and character of this cabin. The pond and property grounds are stunning. David, thank you for allowing us to stay it was a pleasure meeting you! Hopefully we will see you again soon.
What an awesome place to getaway from the hustle and bustle but still close to everything! David and Tracie were amazing hosts, they made us feel welcome and were there to answer any questions we had as well as suggestions for places to eat and visit while we were there. The pond with a pier was perfect for Apollo and I in the mornings. Such a great place to relax and reflect on the many blessing of life. I would 100% recommend this little gem to anyone looking to enjoy some R&R. 🧘

Thank you so much Kathy! I was recently on a call with some hosting platform representative who suggested we raise our rates. We haven't raised our rates since we began 10 years ago this month. We host because we enjoy hosting. The rep said that amounts to 1% of any hosts he's talked to. If we didn't charge anything we couldn't host, but we don't charge so we can enrich ourselves. What enriches us is meeting outstanding guests like Kathy and her husband. I guess that's odd, but we live our lives, and our lives don't live us. All are welcome here, and appreciated. We're glad that comes across.
Very peaceful and comfortable! The host was terrific and all amenities were great. There were sweet touches in every room. We will definitely stay again. If you like being disconnected from TV then this is your place. Very convenient to eating places and Oak Mountain State Park.
This little cabin was so cozy. We never left the whole two days we were there. Mr David even greeted us on arrival and text us during our stay to see if we needed anything even had breakfast items for us. We will be returning for our next anniversary.
We stayed at this wonderful cabin while visiting oak mountain. It was a wonderful and peaceful stay! There were even fresh little flowers around the cabin which was a nice touch. The hosts were amazing and very attentive! Would love to come visit again sometime!
