Unfortunate
I have never given a poor review unless absolutely warranted. I booked this for my husband & son. Apparently there was a mixup in the instructions where the unit was. My husband said it was a little confusing, there weren’t any numbers on the doors but he got into the place fine. I was out with a friend when they arrived & just got a text they were there. A few hours later I got a text they accidentally went into the wrong unit. OBVIOUSLY this was a MISTAKE & they were VERY apologetic & extremely embarrassed. The owner emailed me rather upset (somewhat understandable) I also apologized profusely but didn’t understand how they got in if the keypad worked but all was resolved & everyone got into their correct units and continued on with their stay. The owner contacted me the next day saying she needed to clean it & thought I should pay an extra 100 fee, I didn’t want any issues so I agreed. A day later she emailed me & told me she gave the other people an additional 200 & i needed to pay that ON TOP of the 100 cleaning fee. I didn’t respond right away because I never agreed to that & didn’t think that was fair. A wk after the stay I got a bill for 300. She even insinuated my husband broke in cause “how did he get in?” I called Vrbo VERY UPSET & they told me I don’t have to pay any of it. They called the owner to tell her. She emailed me telling me I had to pay I told her to reach out to Vrbo that I spoke to them and it was resolved. She is STILL emailing me for the money.
