Family Reunion

Nice house and pool. Could use some updating and there were some things in need of repair. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The house was nice itself but it does need updates. There was an odor with the washing machine, the hot tub did not heat, there was food crumbs on the couch closest the kitchen and someone has clipped there finger nails and left them sitting on the tabke in the living room and were roaches in the hallway by the door. We did not stay both nights, we actually stayed the first night and then left early the day before checkout.

I have been using for over 25 years and never been to a place such as this house! I have never seen such a deplorable rental ..We arrived and from the moment we entered the house we had questions...they filth was overwhelming in the kitchen grease running down kitchen wall...an old moldy nasty cup of coffee in microwave the smelled...the stove appeared to have been old and never cleaned...a food encrusted pan was in oven..dried crusted food on all baseboards and down sides of fridge...the furniture was horrendous one sofa was on porch on bricks and infested with cockroaches! the roaches were all over the house. I was in fear for my pets as they were chasing crawling roaches and licking at walls with dried food The yard was not pet safe fence was barely standing in places and dogs could walk thru missing boards!...I could go on and describe the nightmare but I also know I am affecting this mans ability to make a living and I hate that I need to do this! We are old and not able to drive another 5 hours so had to stay up all night for our health and safety ...we left before 8 am due to health and safety reasons! The pool is beautiful ...the reason we went but it also was filthy ! No words can describe the horror this was for 2 women traveling! We left the home cleaner than we found it!!!! TRIED TO UPLOAD PHOTOS WOULD NOT ACCEPT FILE???

What makes this property unique

Casa Colibrí is a serene house to forget about all of your worries. Located in a safe neighborhood complete with sidewalks, our house has ample parking for all your vehicles including your boat or RV if you are stopping through on the way to South Padre for fishing trips or visiting the nearby World Birding Centers of the Rio Grande Valley (RGV). In the evening, be sure to stargaze from the jacuzzi hot tub and during the winter maybe take a dip in our heated pool (additional gas charge applies).
