Located in the heart of Old Montreal, this property is perfect for 4 people traveling together. Clean, well appointed with on site parking for a reasonable price. I do not think you can do much better for a visit to Canada's cultural capital. The host is also very responsive and accommodating.
The location was amazing and close to lots of great restaurants, shopping, and art galleries/museums. The room was very clean and came with a few Nespresso pods for coffee. The bathroom door upstairs does not really close but not a problem for close friends. The bedroom closest to the bathroom upstairs had a very firm bed so would have loved a mattress topper but totally fine for 2 nights. The noise from the street below was very loud on Friday night until about 3am but realize after we arrived there was a fun little bar below us - I think the street outside of that bar is a hangout spot. Overall great place for the price!
Beds good, property clean, kitchen functional, heating/ cooling system good, WiFi fine. This place is pretty spacious and their photos were pretty accurate. There have been some changes in specific furniture, but for the better. To note- there is one bathroom and one half-bath. That surprised us. Also, the door on the full bath did not close (no lock). Not a problem for us, but maybe for families with kids. There are a lot of stairs, so if you are older keep that in mind. Also, we found the room door code lock a little confusing and left the door unlocked once when we went out. Our fault, but just warning others. The host was very communicative and that was greatly appreciated.
I am very disappointed with this booking. The bathroom door did not have a lock. The coffeemaker pot was not working. The real bad part was we were promised a parking space and took us about 15 min to find it. Once we found it, another car was parked in that spot. Sent several communications to the owner and he ignored and never replied. I have to pay 120 to park my car. I send the receipt and requested a refund. He never replied. I am not happy with this place.
We had a great time in Montreal and this beautiful apartment was very close to the places we wanted to visit in old Montreal. Kevin was extremely helpful and answered all our questions in no time. We were able to do an hour later check out and leave our luggages in the lobby area. I definitely recommend this penthouse.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Communication, listing accuracy
While the location was great, there were multiple issues. The place was neat and tidy but there were places where it had not been cleaned well. For example, there was a ball of dust and fur caught on the door of one of the bedrooms. There were hairs on the bathroom floor. The shower curtain was old, dingy, dirty - needs a new one. The coffee maker leaked and worked only intermittently, to the point we stopped using it. The dishwasher left some dishes dirty. There are multiple fixtures throughout the condo with no light bulbs, several in places where light is really needed. The floor in the bedroom closest to the bathroom has buckled and squeaks loudly. The bump where the floor has buckled is quite high. The platform for the bed closest to the bathroom is longer than the mattress and creates a tripping hazard, especially at night. The floors and several pieces of furniture need help. In general, the place looks worn and in need of a refresh, especially when comparing the photos with the reality. We were really disappointed when we arrived and saw the state of the place. Worst of all there is a machine at the top of the first stairwell in the hallway emitting a caustic odor that caused everyone in our party to cough, cover our mouths and made my eyes water. It also made me nauseated. The scent was so strong that it seeped under the doors of the apt on both floors and made things quite unpleasant, a horrible gauntlet we had to climb thru multiple flights of stairs.
Overall, our stay was positive. The location of the VRBO was excellent, the hosts were very communicative, and the listing was accurate. However, there were a few glaring issues. On the first night, two guests discovered several long dark hairs in their bed. We washed the sheets in the washer on the property. About halfway through our stay, a mouse ran through the living room. The host was contacted, and we were assured someone would come out to look. While someone did enter the unit, it was not clear if any action was taken. Even the existing mousetraps appeared untouched. We thought that was the end of our uninvited rodent visitor until he made another appearance the final night of the trip. I am disappointed that more wasn’t done to address a rodent in the unit. That all said, we had a good time and enjoyed walking from our VRBO to many nearby restaurants and iconic sights of Old Montreal.
Location. . . Location. . . Location. If you are looking for someone that is convenient to the waterfront activities and the downtown energy, you would be hard-pressed to find a better location. Kevin was probably the most communicative and responsive host with whom I have worked. He was very quick to respond and was proactive about ensuring that we had a great stay. Accommodations were sufficiently roomy for our family of five and the place was clean and well kept.
This place was perfect in all ways. Perfect location, size, price, and communication. I had a lot of questions and the owner was always receptive, quickly. We loved exploring the old port and we were in close proximity to our concert on Parc Jean- Drapeau. We would 100% stay there again!
