This stay was awesome! Place is in a very nice, quiet area. Easy to get to, easy to get to where you need to be. Would highly recommend this place for a stay as well as any other properties this host has. A top notch, caring host.

This was our second time staying in one of James’ property. This house has the 2 bedrooms upstairs. The only issue I had to give it a 4 star is the guest bedroom with the bunkbeds, was hot and did not have an AC unit in it. When we arrived it was 78 degrees in that room and it only got down to about 75 the rest of the time. The shade in that room was also broken and it wouldn’t close without doing it manually. The shades in the 2 rooms were not good at keeping the light out either. The mattresses were not the most comfortable and the bunk bed squeaks with every movement. For the price though, James has very good places to stay. We would stay at another one of his places in the future.

This property was very nice. Location was great! Perfect for a lake getaway. There was a Dollar General walking distance from house. Was nice when I needed something I forgot. We did have some hiccups the night we got to the house. The second bedroom upstairs has NO air-conditioning directly in the room. Had to turn the master bedroom air-conditioning down to 66 and turn our ceiling fan on high to push air down the hallway and into the spare bedroom. Our bedroom was nice and cold that night but my kids had trouble sleeping in a hot bedroom. One ended up downstairs on couch. Which was advertised as a place to sleep…but they had no extra blankets! Just sheets. So I put beach towels that I brought from home over my kid on the couch. Next morning we noticed there was not enough linen for everyone to take a shower. Had to contact host a second time to get more towels, wash clothes, and a blanket. Overall review the house was good. Only complaint is the air conditioning was barely manageable upstairs. Couldn’t turn the air conditioning in the master bedroom up at all because the spare bedroom would get so hot and stuffy. I would recommend instructions for the air conditioning units. There is one remote for both units. I was able to figure it out but would have been nice to have them. Wouldn’t have needed to contact host for instructions on how to turn air down for the upstairs unit if there was some instructions at check in or even in the post for house on website.

Communication with host was good. Unit is a nice little house. It would suit a couple or small family with one or two younger children quite well. The decor was cute. To say someone likes bears would be an understatement! It was clean but appeared to have been rushed with several things being missed. The bathroom was a bit compact and felt a little cramped. We brought our own so it wasn’t used but, the soap in the shower gave the feel of something left behind by previous guests. Also something we didn’t need but, I found extra toothbrushes to be a nice touch though I’d have preferred to find additional toilet paper. The bed was quite comfortable. Overall, it served our purpose of having a place to sleep and get ready for our day.

Getaway with my two sons for a night. First real visit for Somerset and enjoyed everyone we met. The rental was perfect for us and exactly what it shows. Clean, and all the necessities you could ask for. Highly recommend and no complaints about the price

Everything was clean. Beds were very comfortable. The whole place is tiny (narrow hall etc) but great for a night’s stay. If I could suggest anything I’d say please put in hooks on the back of doors for towels and provide extra blankets. But overall wonderful. Would definitely stay again and recommend.
