We had a great time in Homer. Owner communicated well and made it easy for us to check in/out. Can’t beat the location. We had a moose and 2 babies in our backyard. Great stay!
We had such a great time here! Beautiful views, quiet. Property was very neat, tidy, and all furnishings in good repair. Very clean—much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Destination Alaska Charters
Owning and operating Destination Alaska Charters and Northwind Aviation is a dream come true for the Jackson Family. Scott Jackson grew up hunting, fishing, and trapping in the north woods of Maine. From ages 18-21, he attended college and completed a B.S. degree in aircraft maintenance and operations. Barb (Pond) Jackson grew up in Greenville, South Carolina where she and Scott would eventually meet in college. Married at age 23, Scott and Barb moved to Homer, Alaska where Scott worked for a local air taxi, flying and fixing bushplanes on a daily basis and Barb worked as a nurse for South Peninsula Hospital. Brandon and Chris are Homer, Alaska born and have spent hundreds of days on Kachemak Bay and Cook Inlet helping visitors catch salmon, rockfish, and halibut. Over the course of 20+ years, Scott, Barb, Brandon, and Chris have successfully guided and taught outdoor skills to nearly 1100 individuals in New Hampshire, Alaska, and Maine. Scott states "Destination Alaska allows us to combine our passion for the outdoors and our love for sharing Alaska. We are truly blessed". The Jackson family is thrilled to have the opportunity to show their guests just how amazing Alaska can be.
