Enjoy the convenience of being within easy walking distance to everything Historic Flat Rock Village has to offer! Stroll to The Flat Rock Playhouse, Carl Sandburg National Park, local restaurants, and charming shops—all just steps from your front door. This cozy cottage offers the perfect blend of comfort and accessibility for a relaxing, car-free getaway.

You will delight in this light filled airy cottage with vaulted ceilings in every room!

This historic cottage has been completely renovated. We tried to maintain the essence of the original cottage, and your comfort was at the heart of all our design decisions.

There are 3 bedrooms, two with king beds, and one with a queen. The primary bedroom in the back of the cottage has an ensuite bathroom with a walk in shower. The two front bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower. There is also a half bath off the kitchen area. The kitchen is fully stocked with a large island, built in bar and breakfast nook.

There are outdoor spaces in the front of the house and a deck out back to enjoy your stay. There is a grill and table and chairs on the deck. This is a small house that lives big!

The sweetest week in the cutest blue cottage ,so well appointed and beautifully decorated was had by our family. The area of Flat Rock that the cottage was in was excellent. There were several great restaurants, shops and was even able to join a Pilates class at Synergy close by. We will be back.

This was the CUTEST house! It was exceptionally clean, and very tastefully decorated. My family and I spent the weekend here and it was the perfect home base to explore the area. I would not hesitate to stay here again if we visit the Flat Rock area.

Great house in a great location. We loved our weekend in Flat Rock. The home itself is well appointed with everything you need. It was spotless and very charmingly decorated. It made it so easy to relax. The homeowners were very communicative. This cottage makes a great home base for any NC mountain adventure. I'd love to stay here again.

Beautiful cottage. Well appointed. The host was quick to answer questions. Clean and well cared for. I was a bit concerned because of the closeness with the Playhouse but it did not effect our stay at all. I would have liked to have a toaster to use and handbars in the shower and tub for my 87 year old Mom. When we stay in Flat Rock again we will happily stay here.

If there were more stars to give, we would gladly do it! This was by far the best short-term rental we have encountered. Our host thought of every detail to make our stay perfect! If we could have moved in, we would have! Terrific location across from the Carl Sandburg property. House tour well worth the time. Trails literally at your doorstep. Quick walk to downtown Flat Rock with its delicious restaurants and lovely shops. Immaculate throughout. Quiet, lovely deck.

I love yoga, hiking, cooking, traveling, being with family and friends and anything to do with houses. My husband and I have six children between us, and we stay very busy with work and being with the ones we love!

Why they chose this property

Because of its quaint, small town feel. We LOVE being able to walk out the door, cross the street to hike the Carl Sandburg property and walk next door to our state theatre for an amazing musical production or play. The best wood fired pizza, barbecue, fresh roasted coffee and homemade scones are just a block away.

What makes this property unique

Our cottage is unique in that it is the only privately owned home on The Flat Rock Playhouse setting. We are across the street from The Carl Sandburg National Park and within in a one block radius of 4 restaurants, a coffee shop, art gallery and boutique shopping. This quaint mountain town will charm you!
