About the host
Hosted by Laurence Hegarty
we love to travel and love to dive, that's what first brought us to utila. we designed and oversaw the construction of the coral house and we couldn't be prouder of this beach front paradise.
Why they chose this property
we 'discovered' treasure beach in 2005 and were instantly hooked. utila reminded us of ambergris caye belize back in the 1990's, before the cruise ships and condo developments arrived. as one of only a dozen or so homes spread along 2 miles of beach front, the coral house assures peace, privacy and an escape from the tourist crowds.
What makes this property unique
snorkel the beautiful coral reef in front of the house, dive the largest reef in the western hemisphere, deep sea or flats fish and kayak to deserted islands. collect shells, pick coconuts, sea grapes and breadfruit, watch beautiful sunsets and stargaze at night, this is what the rest of the caribbean used to be like.
