This was a great place to stay. The location was perfect. It was clean and had everything we needed and then some. The hot tub was a great bonus and it was sparkling clean. The view and the lake were great. The host was quickly responsive and very helpful and informative. I would highly recommend it and would gladly stay here again.

This is a wonderful property. I wanted a peaceful and relaxing trip and that’s exactly what I got. The lake was amazing! The house was so comfortable and had everything I could ever ask for. It’s within short walking distance of an awesome restaurant. Tons of fast food and convenience store options very close. This place is the perfect vacation spot.

Quick weekend

Had an event nearby and this was the perfect size for us! We were able to relax in the evening with the hot tub and make dinner at the house. Owners were easy to communicate with if we had questions. Very accommodating!

The cottag itself was very nice, very clean and well stocked. It was nicely decorated and everything worked well. The owner was very responsive when we had an issue with the hot tub and we did enjoy it.It is somewhat deceptive that the description shows a lake front and dock. However, the lake is not really accessible since there is no entry point and the dock has no ladder. I say that the cottage itself was cute etc. but the grounds were not well attended to. There were large weeds and frass around the pavers and back yard area. The lake had unsightly junk that should been removed. I would suggest that a table with an umbrella would have bee a wonderful addition since the afternoon sun covers the entire area and there is no way to escape it. I also think that plastic glasses would be a great idea since we hesitated to bring glass outside. That being said, we really enjoyed our stay. A few touches that I would have preferred to share with the owner alone would have made this ideal.

Small little little lake cottage. The outside needs some work and general upkeep. Couldn’t really enjoy outside space as it was overtaken by ants and spider mites. The deck stairs leading down to the water and dock is scary and not very safe feeling. It’s definitely dry rotted. I’m disabled and was afraid to hold on to the banister.

Luxury Lake Front

The ad was not totally accurate. I wouldn't consider the property a luxury lake house. More like a lake front cottage. No kayaks available as advertised. The lake frontage was quite junky with overgrown weeds in a rotted boat - eyesore for the lake view. The house was musty smelling. Fireplace not working. The owners were quite responsive in all communications. I would recommend the house, just lower expectations than a luxury house.

Staying at this lake house was quite an experience. Here are the pros and cons of this rental:Pros - Great location, beautiful lake.Hot water, Cold AC. Paddleboards and Kayaks included.Cons -When we arrived, all the linens and towels were wet. We had to spend hours rewashing everything; even the beds that were made had to be stripped and rewashed because they were wet. This isn’t exactly what we wanted to do on our first days of vacation. - The house needs TLC. They had duct-taped outlets on the walls, cabinet doors falling off, etc. - The house was not properly stocked. Upon arrival, there were no paper towels, dish or dishwasher soap, extra toilet paper, or trash bags. I contacted the owner, and she sent most of the items within a couple of hours.- I tried to turn on the oven, and it smelled bad of gas. We used the gas grill, and it almost caught fire. Didn’t look like the owners ever cleaned the grill, so the grease trap caught fire. Very scary!! I had bought a bunch of food I could not cook. We had to go out for every meal.- The paddle boards and kayaks were so wonderful to have. However, it was difficult to get them in and out of the water. They didn’t have a beach or an easy way to get them in or out. It was all rocks.- I left my dress there and was completely ignored when I reached out. After three attempts, I gave up. I offered to pay for shipping; very disappointing!- The water smelled and was orange. Not sure if this is normal for the area.

This comfortable house is on the lake with a private dock. The lake itself is on the all sports Cooley lake with a large patio and paddle boards and a boat dock. You can enjoy this property year around. Enjoy fall and winter in the hot tub and a stocked kitchen with brand new appliances, in the heart of the city, visit family and friends in Metro Detroit or shop the best Michigan has to offer. Somerset mall is 30 minutes. Outlet malls are on either side of the property with about 35-45 minute drive.
