The location and setting of this home was perfect for our trip to Olympic National Park. The amenities while not in the park were wonderful (hot tub, watercraft, board games). A really great home that fit our family of seven with five young kids very well.

Great property for our family vacation. Enough room to be together and to also get away from each other. Quiet lake for easy kayaking. Enjoyed sitting around the fire pit (too dry to risk a fire) taking in some sun and the views. A guest “welcome/information” booklet would have been helpful but communication was excellent and questions answered quickly. Highly recommend.

Magnificent home for a family trip. The ease of communication and responsiveness of the owner was exceptional. You could not ask for better communication or a more beautiful home and location. The house was comfortable, clean, beautifully furnished and well stocked. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Thank you so much for this wonderful review, Rita! We're thrilled the home was such a great fit for your family trip, and that the communication and responsiveness stood out to you. It means a lot to hear the house felt comfortable, clean, and well-stocked, and that the location added to the experience. We only wish you could have stayed longer too — we'd love to host you again for a longer visit next time!

Great place. We had a wonderful time celebrating my brother’s birthday. He particularly loved kayaking. It’s not far from some family so we will likely rent this property again.
Such a lovely cotton candy sunset!

Our multigenerational family had a delightful time kayaking, putting puzzles together and mountain gazing from the porch. It was a perfect vacation location. The hot tub was great after a day of exploring the park and our host made sure we had everything we could possibly need. There was plenty of room to spread out and truly relax and enjoy each other. Thank you for your thoughtfulness as you have created a lovely space to relax.

Sweet place

House feels brand new. Lovely location on a cute little lake. Lots to do, from kayaks to two large screen TVs, a nice kitchen and beautiful deck overlooking deck. We had five sunny April days. Only wish there was more than 2 bathrooms for the nine of us. Would definitely return.

There were issues. The hot tub did not work. We reported it but it was not fixed. Weekend, so I understand. But it was a major factor for selecting this property and no credit was offered. No curtains on the glass door of the upstairs bedroom. I draped a sheet over the door. Two bathrooms in the house, one outside the upstairs bedroom, so people were in the hallway frequently. The upstairs bedroom was by far the nicest. Privacy is needed. The kitchen has no space for food storage. Too many specialty items in the cabinets taking up space. No glasses, at all. I bought some. Place mats would be nice on the table. The views were amazing.

Thank you for the detailed feedback, Meg. We're sorry the hot tub was out of service during your stay, especially since it was a key part of why you chose the property — we understand the frustration of not having a fix or a credit offered over the weekend. We're happy to share that the hot tub has since been completely replaced with a new and better one, so future guests won't run into that issue. We also appreciate you flagging the lack of curtains on the upstairs bedroom's glass door, the bathroom layout and privacy concerns, and the kitchen storage and glassware gaps — these are all things we'll take a close look at improving. We're glad the views still stood out as a highlight. Thank you for taking the time to share this so we can make things better for future guests.

Great home base for Olympic National Park

This house was great; even better than the pictures! My extended family and I stayed for spring break (a total of nine people between the ages of 10 and adults). The house is conveniently located near Port Angeles and made a great home base for day trips into the national park. The house has all the cookware we needed to make our own meals, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub after hiking and exploring the park each day. We fished off the dock, made use of the canoe, and attempted the fire pit (it was pretty rainy). It was really a great time! Also, if you do stay here, check out the tide pools at Salt Creek Recreation Area's Tongue Point during low tide. It's not part of the national park, but free for day use, only 30 minutes away, and was the unexpected highlight of our trip.
