I’m from Florida and the cabin was a great unique experience. The loft made everything feel open but cozy and private the way it was set up. After a long day of exploring, it was perfect setting to come back to the cabin for relaxing. We had a wonderful time. Thank you so much.
This is a beautiful, cozy authentic 1960s log cabin, appointed with everything you will need and to entertain yourself: DVDs, a piano, games, books…! It was excellently clean and well organized so, you could find everything easily. The customer service and communication was excellent too! We truly enjoyed our overnight stay here! It was just perfect! —Elizabeth
This is a great, cozy cabin - perfect for escaping the daily grind - yet possess all of the modern amenities that make a stay comfortable.Smart/HD tv was great. I brought my Firestick and was able to watch football over the fireplace!Jill was helpful and responsive throughout the process, and I highly recommend this property.
My girlfriend and I had a great time relaxing and spending some quality time together at this cabin. The drive in from Denver was beautiful and the view from the road the cabin is on is amazing! Would definitely consider coming back!!
A lovely cabin space up in the mountains. The property owners were very accommodating and rescheduled maintenance of the property for after we left, so we could have it to ourselves. Would love to come back again.
Loved the Black Hawk Cabin. Perfect for my wife and I to get some much needed 'chillin' down time'. Black Hawk (city) held no interest or inducements...yet the cabin was perfect for Nederland, Georgetown, Idaho Springs, and leisurely mountain drives!

Thank you for your kind words, Jim! We're so glad to hear the Black Hawk Cabin was just what you needed for some well-deserved downtime. It sounds like you made the most of the surrounding area with those scenic mountain drives and nearby towns. We'd be happy to welcome you back anytime you're ready for another relaxing escape!
My partner and I stayed at the cabin in late June to attend a wedding at Golden Gate Canyon State Park. Location was perfect. The cabin was lovely and well appointed - from coffee and accoutrements to shower items. Convenient and much appreciated! We enjoyed lots of time on the back porch and even lingered in the driveway at night to admire the stars. We also visited the brewery down the street for beer, food and live music, and loved having such a cool place so close! I agree with another reviewer that the loft bedroom gets very warm. Fortunately we didn’t need both bedrooms and comfortably stayed downstairs. I’m sure this is only a concern when it’s exceptionally hot outside, as it was the weekend we visited. Jill was regularly in touch and very hospitable throughout our short visit to the mountains. Thanks for a nice stay!
A pleasant and relaxing stay, highly recommended, there is fresh air and a silent place, having a great time forgetting all the noise I live from, live the highly recommended experience.
