The Chalet built in 1915 is located on a 100 Acre Private Estate surrounded by wooded areas with walking and hiking trails. The Chalet with over 12 rooms, sleeps 12 with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, full Kitchen, wrap around porch, 2 balconies.

We purchased the Chalet in 1978 nestled with 3 unique properties within the 100 acre Estate. Our goal is to share the Chalet Mansion as a gathering place for all to celebrate the legacy of family and the importance of spending time together and making memories that span generations: with hiking, long talks, long walks and plenty of fun for all!

We wanted to offer our home as a place where groups of all kinds could recharge, relax and renew. It may be a marriage that needs a boost, a men’s or ladies group that needs to connect, or even a staff meeting that needs a new environment to get those creative juices flowing! Come relax and unwind at The Chalet.

Amenities: 70 " HD TV, Slate Pool Table, Shuffle Board, Pop a Shot Basket Ball, Air Hockey table, indoor putting green, Wi-Fi access, Wet Bar and Outdoor BBQ area available in season.

Great place to stay with minor issues

It was really a nice place to stay with the sound system being awesome and set up for many indoor games except couple of minor issues - a) Water leak in the kitchen which led to minor injury for one of the family members. b) Locks were not that great in all bathrooms

Excellent House

This was a great place to gather with extended family for a long Thanksgiving weekend. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking a large meal. Great room really fun to hang out in. Very clean and a beautiful property.

Even though the property is over a hundred years old it is very well maintained. JV is a great host who helped us with all our little needs/queries and even stayed up late (~1AM) to receive us and give us a tour of the house.

My name is J V Ferrara. I have lived my entire life in the Greater Youngstown & Warren Ohio area. I moved into the Chalet in 1978 and have purchased the other mansion over the course of time. We have 4 mansions and a Carriage House that can accommodate from 2 up to 36 under one roof. I graduated from Brookfield HS and attended John Carroll University in the East side of Cleveland. I currently live in Hubbard, Ohio Trumbull County.

Why they chose this property

Built in 1915 by the Stambaugh family. On Vacation in Switzerland Mrs. John Stambaugh fell in love with the architectural look and had John replicate the Chalet .

The Chalet's siding is 5/4 inch tongue and groove chestnut. The chalet's second floor has 2 outside porches with over 80 feet of decking around the 1200 Square foot Great Room with 5 foot overhangs that surround the entire Chalet.

What makes this property unique

With our growing family we were looking for a house on the north side of town and came across the Chalet in a "Homes for Sale" book We were amazed that such a great house was in the Youngstown/Warren Ohio area. The 32 acre estate has 25 acres of woods, pond and Crab Creek. It has been like being on vacation 365 days a year. The Chalet is within a Private Drive that cannot be seen from the road. Truly it has been a blessing.
