Great cabin property with space and great lawn

We really enjoyed our stay here. Jessica was very good with communication and helpful during the process. Only one night but everything was new and enough space for our group of 3.

Host profile image
I love art, painting , refinishing furniture and decorating. I am also a career cosmetologist- so basically I just want everything to look good all the time! Whiskeys Hideaway was a big project for me and a place that I had dreamed of having for sometime before it became a reality.. Although I faced a lot of adversity while building and finishing it up, the bond I have with this place is unmatched.

Why they chose this property

My parents bought this land when I was in middle school.. When I was young I didn’t appreciate the beauty, and peace it provides. As an adult I lived in the city of Bardstown, which is truly beautiful as well - but does not provide the quiet solitude that you have out here. All the seasons make themselves well known because the greens are so dramatic throughout the knobs. Fall is especially breathtaking.

What makes this property unique

At the start of this, I built Whiskeys Hideaway Hideaway with the idea that I wanted it to be even more cozy than home, but I wanted it to be fun and quirky as well. Through a series of unexpected life events I ended up living there while finishing it up. This gave me a different perspective on small details that needed to be done. I think that Whiskeys hideaway has a comfort to it that makes you want to be part of it. Wake up in the morning and make your coffee , sit on the front porch with your book, then go on an afternoon hike through the woods, and plan an evening visit to the local Distillery Log Still.
