Awesome Rental
This is one of the few homes where pictures do not do it justice. The view of the marsh walking in for the first time stunned us! The home is clean, bright, incredibly well-stocked, and we found all beds comfortable. Ample space in every bathroom. There is a bit of a walk down a shaded/gravel trail to the dock which we enjoyed for fishing, paddle boarding, and even rented jet skis and a pontoon boat to load and launch from the ICW. Although this home isn't beachfront, the walks to either the private beach entrance (has stairs) or the public one (fully ramp) were very easy and convenient.
The home also provides pool noodles, games, and beach gear including a nice shade, boogie boards, sand toys, and beach chairs. There are hoses to rinse feet and gear under the front steps as well as on the pool deck, and one of the nicest outdoor showers we've had.
We enjoyed the grill and poolside Tiki Bar, although flies do too. Would recommend bringing some fly traps if you plan to use the outdoor areas for eating, and a trash bag.
I want to give a special thanks to Vacasa and to the home owners for working with us to resolve a pool issue we had on our stay - we weathered Tropical Storm Chantal during our visit and the pool pump was down for several days after, rendering the pool unfit for use. While we did miss a few days of pool time, we feel that our experience was important to the company and the home owners and are very happy with the customer service we received!
One final note - because of the amazing windows and views, the sunrise is quite bright (and early)! If you have folks in your party who hope to sleep in, consider bringing blankets or some travel-room darkening options with you.
