Stunning views of Diamond Head, Zoo and Beach from your private 7th floor lanai await you at this Waikiki Grand Hotel studio condo. Before we go into further details please take note of the following:

This tasteful & affordable Waikiki Studio Condo stresses quality from it's view to it's cleanliness. The 'Aloha Spirit' of Hawaii fills the condo and will permeate your vacation and send you home with memories to cherish for a lifetime.

Located across the street from the Honolulu Zoo, you will enjoy unobstructed 7th floor views of Diamond Head, Kapiolani Park and the Ocean all from your private lanai.

The room is tastefully designed and the view will leave you breathless.

Restaurant, entertainment and sight-seeing options abound, all within blocks of this amazing location. The room comes with an information book plenty of recommendations for your stay, all provided by the owner and previous guests of this condo. Please add your comments and recommendations for the next renter as well.

For those nights when you don't go out to eat or for a quick snack, the kitchenette consists of a coffee maker, toaster oven, built-in two burner cook top, toaster, microwave and new apartment style refrigerator that has a complete separate freezer compartment with own door. (See photos).


The queen bed will be made with a set of bed linens and the room will be stocked with 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, 4 wash clothes, bath mat, 2 beach towels, 2 sets of dish cloth and towel, 3 rolls of toilet paper, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 medium size box of tissue, 1 dish sponge, 1 small bottle dish detergent, and 1 bottle hand soap. There is coin-operated laundry facilities in the building and extra toiletries available next store at the ABC Store if you need more.

We have been working with a wonderful and detailed oriented cleaning service who keeps our condo in amazing condition. The cleaning company has a contact person who lives nearby and who will meet you upon arrival, answers your questions and is available should any issue arise during your stay.

We are also set up with quarterly extermination service with a well respected local company.

Great location for beach access and restaurants/stores, Beautiful view of the beach, zoo and Diamond Head.Room is comfortable and clean, had everything we needed.Note that parking is difficult to find, got some info from Bill. Decided after struggling trying to find parking daily to stick with the hotel parking at 38 a day and spots are pretty narrow.Also note that due to being close to the beach and all, it is always busy and noisy in the streets and in the hotel. We would definitely stay there again!!

Great Location!

This was the perfect location for our stay with views of the ocean and amazing sunsets. Easy access to shopping, restaurants, and the beach. Space was perfect for 2 people.

Great location, plus view

Walk one direction 100 yards to the beach and Starbucks. Walk the other direction there’s a Denny’s, or the zoo across the street. What more would one need? Room was clean, well kept and maintained. Just right for two. We particularly appreciated having the cooking and general living amenities (e,g., paper towels, soap, small stuff you might have to buy locally).

Excellent location in Waikiki!!!

This was the perfect place to stay for a getaway for two. The walk to the beach or the shops up and down Waikiki was minimal. The property manager, Bill, was great to work with. We only had a question or two upon arriving and Bill was quick to respond. We really had a great time with the condo and will stay here again.

Location, location location

We stayed there a week. Waikiki beach 200 yards away, along with Starbucks, ABC stores, several restaurants, priceless view, a more than adequate kitchenette, beach chairs, towels, clean living space. What more could you ask? We had a perfect time. Located on the 7th floor also provided a great view, plus it reduced the late night weekend street noise. It would help if motorcycles without mufflers were outlawed.

The best VRBO ever!

This property has a beautiful view and amazing location. The unit itself has a lot of room and a spacious balcony. The owner of this VRBO is amazing and went above and beyond to make sure our stay went smooth and was enjoyable. He let us have a late checkout because of our late flight, which was so nice of him. On top of that, I accidentally left my Prada purse behind and he sent me a picture of it and is sending it in the mail for me. The stay was already great, but by him doing these 2 extra things for me, created the best VRBO experience ever. 100% recommend staying here. Thank you so much for allowing my husband and I to stay at your beautiful property!

Amazing Location!

This apartment was all we needed for our stay in Waikiki. Location was unreal, just steps from the beach and Main Street. The view of diamond head, the ocean and the zoo were incredible. Bed was comfy enough, A/C was lovely, and parking was convenient (for an additional charge). Bill was accommodating, easy to communicate with and we were lucky enough to get a late check out on our last day! Noise wasn’t an issue, we brought our sound machine and ear plugs. You are close to the Main Street with loud traffic but an easy trade off for the location. A few upgrades would make this apartment even better - new beach chairs, towels, cooktop, kitchen items (wine glasses, knives, pans). Overall we had a wonderful trip and would recommend this spot. Don't forget to try the Hula pie at Duke’s, check out pearl harbour and rent a car so you can explore the entire island (North shore is incredible).

The best of Hawai'i

This was our second stay. The 6 or 7 intervening years did not have any negative impacts on this incredible condo. For us, it could not be more perfect. We spent literally hours on the lanai admiring the view and watching the world go by. There was always something going on to entertain us. Perfect location for shops and swimming, but that view made us forget there was a big city behind us. Comfy bed, great air con (much needed for us delicate flowers from the bottom of the Southern Hemisphere), all you need in the kitchen for self-catering, and a wonderfully kind and friendly host. We would never stay anywhere else if we return, for fear of it not meeting the high bar of this accommodation! Thanks so much, Bill!

Unfortunately would not stay again

I would like to start by saying the condo itself is fine. It had a good view and was in close proximity to the beach, restaurants, and parking. It had the things we needed to do some cooking and for the price was decent. However, the issue we had was with the very thin walls. It is right next to the elevator which you can hear when it is used. Multiple nights there were drunk people yelling in the hallway at all hours of the night. The street is also very loud which also had people yelling at all hours and very loud motorcycles every night. Other residents would slam their doors at night and early morning. We woke up to people moving furniture in their unit at 5am. To say the least, we did not sleep well on our vacation. I’m not sure that anything can be done as there are supposedly quiet hours. Bring earplugs.

Condo A+, Waikiki B-

The condo was just as described, being close to the beach and having beautiful views of Diamond Head, the Honolulu Zoo, and the ocean. Bill is an excellent host that I highly recommend. I liked the quiet air conditioner. Waikiki beach is visually very appealing with its palm trees, curving stone sidewalks, and landscaping. The bird-filled Banyon trees were huge and novel to me, with their vertical sub-roots growing down from the horizontal branches. I enjoyed walking around the areas near the hotel. There are many places to eat. If you know Waikiki and Oahu, you can skip the rest of my review. I was surprised to learn how many of the beaches in Oahu have water that is shallow and rocky. I like body surfing and just floating up and down in the water up to my shoulders. In Waikiki the water I could access without walking on coral only reached belly high. The air temperature was always comfortable for walking around or hiking, but the ocean at 75 degrees in February felt chilly. Seven sunny days in Waikiki, but of the previous nine days four were rainy. Waikiki has many attractions, but it is an urban environment with noise and homeless people. From the beach you may hear nearby traffic. Loud mufflers, and long running sirens from police, fire trucks, and ambulances were heard most days. In the condo there was often background noise of buses and trucks idling next to the hotel. Earplugs at night helped me sleep. I saw a few homeless people each day on Waikiki beaches. (On the leeward/west side of Oahu we drove past large encampments of people under tarp dwellings on several of the beaches.) Three times in Waikiki men's rooms there was a different man talking to himself or to an imaginary person, one time in a loud threatening manner. Several parks and scenic overlooks around the island caution you with "high theft area" signs. I was approached for money while walking around the block. From my condo I saw a fight between two men in the zoo lawn, where several men would routinely pass the day in their sleeping bags. With all that said, I'm glad I got to go there. I didn't think I was in danger, and I certainly wouldn't caution you and your family to skip Waikiki if you've never been there. But as a small-town guy I will likely seek a destination without these urban characteristics on my next vacation.

Nice apartment great location. The only downside is parking can be a pain. The zoo lot usually has spots but on a few occasions I had to circle several times to wait for one to open up. A couple of times I had to park a few blocks away then move before bed. I’d stay there again.

Perfect location

We stayed 3 1/2 weeks in this great holiday apartment and loved everything. The location overlooking the park and zoo, a block from the beach and at the quiet end of Waikiki, cannot be beat. The balcony views of Diamond Head and sunsets over the water are just beautiful. The little kitchen has everything needed for cooking and the second fridge is a welcome addition. Bill was easy to communicate with and we appreciated him arranging a late checkout on our last day. We hope to come back soon!

View and location is perfect

Awesome spot on the strip at the very end. Everything is right there like coffee shop, board shop etc. Less busy than by the mega hotels. Beach is less than a block away. Was perfect for a week.

Great location, but very loud

Pros: - This is a fantastic location just a block or so from the beach! -It has a beautiful view from the lanai. -Lots of nearby shopping. -Reasonably priced. -Well stocked with towels, also had a beach umbrella. (We didn't use it, though, so can't comment on how well it worked)Cons: - Parking in their lot is expensive and depends on availability. You also need a smaller car, the parking spots are VERY tight to get into. - NOISY!! We kept checking the door to the lanai to make sure it was closed. We were there for Christmas, and there was lots of partying and hot rodding until well after midnight. Garbage trucks, sirens, all sounded like they were right outside our room. The first night was awful. The second night I got a white noise generator app on my phone and some ear plugs, which helped a lot and made it possible to sleep. - Pillows were very uncomfortable. Maybe old memory foam? They were stiff as a board and couldn't be fluffed or shaped. - No shower soap or shampoo/conditioner.Overall, a good place to stay if you can deal with the drawbacks.
