This was a Great place to stay on our short mini vacation to KC! So often, it's tough to find arrangements for our pets so this was a Great place to bring our 2 dogs and enjoy some outdoors and scenic views of the river. It's the first time we've done a VRBO but will definitely do it again sometime!

Comfortable accommodations with easy check-in/check-out. Owner was friendly and responsive to questions. Property was clean and well kept. Very peaceful. You can view the river from the cabin. Hammocks and fire pit available. Lots of amenities in kitchen. I would stay here again. Pet friendly.

Every was exactly as described. Very remote cabin on the river with wonderful neighbors not too close by. Very clean and upgraded property with amazing sunsets. I would definitely recommend.

Nice, clean place, right on the beautiful Missouri

The front porch and large yard are right on the expansive Missouri river. Inside, the house is clean, well-furnished, and comfortable. Two large TVs. Modern kitchen, with filtered drinking water. Comfortable bedrooms.

We have a 4.96 rating on our other hosting site because nearly everyone loves this place. Maybe it’s because you came when it was negative temperatures in the middle of winter, I’m not sure. On the River

The location was a little ways out of St Joe but being on the Missouri River made up for that. Nice tree next to river with a swing. I sat there with my dog on my lap watching the water flow past. Very clesn and maintained property. The only thing you might consider is that there are no outside lights and limited lighting inside. In the bedroom my wife could not see to knit. A few more lamps would help. But overall a great stay for us.

One aspect that was not mentioned is the proximity the train tracks which is apparent from the map, but it detracts from the seclusion. There was also no ventilation in the bathroom either, so it did smell a bit musty. As well, there was no anti-slip mat or stickers in the shower which felt dangerous. The kitchen also lacked some essential material like cooking oil. The highlight was the location next to Missouri River and close access to the nature center.

There’s an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Maybe you didn’t turn it on? There’s olive oil in the cabinet but also please plan to bring your own ingredients. We provide the venue and a full kitchen but not the food lol. Also the shower floor is tiny tiles that arent slippery so there’s no need for a slip mat. Slip mats are for slippery floors, which do not exist in this unit.

The cabin wasn’t comfortable! very cold inside and couldn’t regulate the temperature to stay warm, We used the oven to warm us when we were awake and kept the electric fireplace going the whole time. Also the hot water is only in the kitchen not the shower! The host needs to stay there to check out his facility to make it more comfortable for his guests not him self!! It’s a shame i came all the way from Texas to see Missouri and my housing stay was very uncomfortable!! Won’t stay there again and will tell everyone that has children not to rent it, way to cold inside. Very disappointing!!! Linda Herring .

Hey Gary, all you have to do is turn up the thermostat in the hallway and the heat works amazing. There is also a fireplace heater. It's unfortunate that you never said anything to us during your stay because we would have been happy to help you find the thermostat!
