Dog-Friendly Cottage on Cape Island

Cute and convenient two bedroom cottage on the island in Cape May! Up to 2 housetrained, adult dogs (1 year+) welcome - fully fenced yard!

The cottage includes a spacious living room with smart TV, a fully stocked kitchen, and sleeping/seating for 6.

Both bedrooms are large with double closets and storage. The primary bedroom has a new queen bed and is set up for working remotely with a desk and WiFi. The second bedroom is ready for sleepovers with a full and twin bed (and a travel crib, if needed). A pull-out queen sofa bed can sleep two additional people.

Outside, relax in Adirondack chairs, dine under string lights, and enjoy the fully fenced backyard with Crepe Myrtle trees and hydrangea bushes. New outdoor shower just added, too!

Beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, cruiser bikes and a stroller are provided for fun at nearby Cape May beaches. Dog beds, crate, and toys included as well. Driveway parking for 3+ cars.

The Blue Whale is located on a quiet street on Cape Island and 1.5 miles to Cape May's beautiful beaches and shopping. Also close to Beach Plum Farm, West End Garage, breweries and wineries, and more! It’s 2 blocks from the incredible Garrett Family Preserve with idyllic trails for hiking, bird-watching, and painting on artist easels. Come stay and experience the best of Cape May.

Great Cape May beach Trip!

Perfect little house to stay at in Cape May!

My family and I stayed here to attend the Cape May Spring Festival. The location of the house was perfect - it was a quick drive to get everywhere we needed to go. The house was clean, roomy, and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again!

Short getaway

Property was clean and spacious and a nice yard for our dog.If you are renting buy the property damage protection. We did the owners blamed us for old carpet stains and filed a damage claim These were old dried up stains. Our dog is house trained they were not our stains. My advice look for a different rental.Phil June 2nd to June 6th

Thank you for staying at the Blue Whale Beach House. It is unfortunate that this guest changed their written review ("very clean, we will be back!") after a damage insurance claim was filed for the damage caused during their stay. As hosts, we take cleanliness seriously and would not rent our house with a stained rug (as evidenced by this guest and the previous 10/10 review stating how clean the house is). $59 damage protection insurance protects the guest and host, and it was used appropriately for damage caused by this guest following VRBO's process. Future guests, please rest assured that the damaged rug has been replaced, and we see the house before each guest to ensure cleanliness and provide a comfortable stay for our guests!
