We’ve stayed at this pet friendly cottage in the Oyster Creek neighborhood before. The location is perfect, the cottage is not. Although the beds and furniture were comfortable, the cottage needs some tender loving care. There are only 2 ice trays in the freezer, for a cottage that sleeps 8. There are 6 forks, necessitating washing dishes between each meal. There is not a frying pan large enough to fry bacon, although there are many pots and pans. The plastic wine glasses are cloudy due to age. Not visually appetizing The main bathroom shower is extremely slow draining, so you are standing in dirty water as you shower. The outside shower is excellent, however, you can not latch the door from the inside. Beware of wind gusts! There are 3 screened porches. All with broken screens and buggy. Many loose and/or sagging boards on the decking. Paint is peeling from one of the bedroom ceilings. The main bathroom door is cracked at the bottom. Checking in and out was very easy. The rental company was very responsive when we called to let them know that TV remotes did not work.

Ocracoke bliss

Home is ideally located in super quiet neighborhood and has excellent canine amenities including a porch/deck system with locking gates. Outdoor features are strong with highlight being widow’s watch with beautiful water & sunset views. Home is listed as sleeping 8 and is best if 2-3 are children or small people.

Great house; wonderful porches; well managed.

The house was perfect for our family of 8. Rooms and beds were comfortable. The porches were a unanimous favorite. Ocracoke Realty staff were fantastic and responsive. Lived the whole experience.
