Peaceful Beaufort guest house, perfect for couples or families

Nestled in the trees, our 1 bedroom, 1 bath guest house features a private entrance, a queen sized bed in the bedroom and queen size sleeper sofa in the living room, both supplied with 100% cotton sheets and blankets (portable crib available for little ones). Flatscreen TV, DVD player with movies, books and games. Full kitchen with refrigerator, small stove/oven, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and everything you need for cooking. Full bathroom with clawfoot tub with shower and fluffy cotton towels. Have coffee or a glass of wine on the small deck off the bedroom or make use of our charcoal grill for a back yard BBQ. Plenty of parking space for a larger vehicle, boat, or RV/camper. Less than 10 minutes to downtown Beaufort, Port Royal and Parris Island. 20 minutes to Hunting Island State Park and beach. Both Charleston and Savannah make for easy day trips.

I chose this cozy apartment for my yearly sister trip! We absolutely loved it; from the claw-foot tub to the coziness of the balcony. We were provided privacy, comfort, & a sense of security due to the closeness of the owners. Check in & check out process was super easy & convenient. The kitchen had all appliances apart from a dishwasher & I loved that a Brita was provided in the fridge! We would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Made a short trip down for a Marine graduation from Parris Island. The place was cute and the perfect size for myself and my husband. And the price was very reasonable.

Anniversary Getaway

My husband and I had a wonderful stay! It was just what we needed for a weekend away. Easy drive to downtown Beaufort. Quiet except for the geese occasionally haha. I loved sitting on the porch under the mossy oaks.

Affordable, Comfortable, Quiet

We had a great time exploring the Beaufort, SC area. The guest house was very comfortable and conveniently located. The owners have made sure to provide everything you need. Best of all, it was affordable for the area. The property where the guest house is located is beautifully maintained, but unfortunately, there are houses on the street that are extremely junky and unattractive. This was not a particular problem for us, but it may be a concern for others.

We had a great stay with Donna and Andy. We visited my granddaughter’s friends. We very much appreciated the state park pass provided and were able to use it. Short stay for daughter’s baby shower

This house is perfect for us when we visit my daughter and her family. It is a short walk to their house and specifically our granddaughter! The house is comfortable and clean and there is never a hassle entering or leaving. It is just as described. We have already booked again for when grandchild number two is due!

Very nice small apartment over garage of pretty house in Mossy Oaks area of Beaufort/Port-Royal.

My wife & I have stayed here multiple times, and enjoy the location (on little street running between Mossy Oaks and pretty Broad Street), the nice touches provided by the host (state park pass great for Hunting Island, supplies for kitchen & shower, the nice Christmas decorations on their main house and in the neighborhood, etc), and the value of the booking itself! The house is as shown in the listing, and it is small with flight of steps up to the apartment. There is room for two to eat at the counter, and a few can around the coffee table for casual snacking or simple meals. The host kindly helped us with an early check-in. There are some plates, utensils, glassware, a few pans, a toaster, oven/range, drip coffeemaker, and fridge. We definitely want to stay again.

Wonderful!

My husband and I came for the Parris Island graduation. This was an ideal location (about 10 minutes away from MCRD). The apartment above the garage felt like a cozy cottage and had absolutely everything we needed! It was also very private with it’s own entrance. The owners are so respectful about guests privacy (we never saw them), but when we messaged them about our timing for check out, they responded straight away with a kind note. Hope to have the chance to return to beautiful Beaufort again and this home away from home!

Boot Camp Graduation

We stayed in Mossy Oaks for the graduation of our son from boot camp. The apartment was cozy and perfect for our needs. It was very close to Parris Island and it was also close to Walmart, Publix, and other shopping centers. We were gone most of the days but we did use the kitchen to make breakfast and it had the necessary basic items. The shower was great and there was shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. However, I was really impressed with the bed in the bedroom. It was so comfortable and clean. I told my husband this really is the best bed of any place we have ever stayed. My kids slept in the pull out in the living room and they were comfortable too. I definitely recommend Mossy Oaks to anyone who wants to be near Parris Island.

NOT a COTTAGE! Listed as guest cottage, but an apartment over garage. 1 A/C, not 2 A/C as listed.

Mispresented. Also NO instructions on how to get cool air into bedroom, since only A/C located in living room. Impossible to sleep in hot bedroom, so we spent 3 nights on fold-out sofa bed, which was very uncomfortable and meant for 3 year old. Andy Conlon, owner was rude to us beginning with our arrival. We arrived a little before 3PM check in time, and it was raining torrentially. We asked if we could get in early because of flooding storm. His answer "Check in time in 3 PM. We had to drive into town to find shelter. TV is all messed up; need ROKU plan to access. We asked Andy to help us, and he was rude and uncooperative. All we could get on TV was news of assassination of Japanese PM. Not vacation viewing. Please investigate thoroughly, since VRBO usually has lovely accommodations and great hosts. Many thanks.

What a wonderful stay we had! Donna was just amazing and worked with me as I was there to see my daughter graduate from Boot Camp and had Little communication with her prior to booking. Donna was just amazing. I would highly recommend her. I’m so appreciative of how she worked with me and moved my reservation around several times to try to accommodate my daughter’s Wishes. The place was very cute really clean. We had a great time! It’s centrally located in a nice quiet neighborhood. If I’m ever back in the area, I will definitely stay with Donna again and highly recommend her to anyone else going to the area.

Very nice stay

We really enjoyed our stay. A quiet and nice neighborhood and close to attractions and beach. Especially enjoyed nearby Hunting Beach. Proprietor nice and helpful, but not overbearing. Pic didn't actually show that apartment is attached to owner's dwelling, but that didn't cause a major problem for us since there's a private entrance. Thanks

Located in a safe residential area, on a quiet street, surrounded by lovely mossy oaks and azaleas, you have all the privacy you could want. If you should ever need anything, my husband and I are a phone call away and are happy to make a dinner reservation for you or lend you some chairs for your trip to the beach.
