This memorable house is the perfect home base for your trip to Olean. With 2 cozy bedrooms including 1 king bed and 2 queen bed, guests will have a comfortable stay. Olean memorial service

We did not stay as planned. The kitchen was very dirty. A bigger problem was the set of very steep stairs to bedrooms 1 and 2, on 2nd floor. The steps were narrow, and only had a partial handrail. The owner should disclose that the facility is best suited to guests with no mobility issues. We stayed instead at a chain hotel.

Family reunion

I would caution your expectations. The place needs serious repair. Very run down, upstairs was atrocious- carpet was dingy and wrinkles, hole in floor of master bedroom, dirty walls and furniture falling apart. I can’t even begin to describe how dirty the place was- oil splatter in stove/microwave area, hair all over floors, linen was dingy brown & master bath had horrendous sewage smell after showering. Needless to say, we found other accommodations.

True condition of home is not same as listing

Pros. The owner was wonderfully responsive. The house has very large rooms and the living area is very comfortable. Cons. Actually too many to list but the owner intends to talk to the property manager and the cleaning service about them. I would not recommend staying there until the major issues are resolved. Probably our biggest inconvenience was that the 3rd bedroom on the top floor could not be used. There was an air conditioner up there but it wasn’t hooked up so the heat level up there was dangerously high. Secondly the kitchen lacks the basic essentials - including decent and safe pots and pans- kitchen utensils like a spatula - and there were only like 5 forks. The dishwasher works but dangled from the cabinets and the garbage disposal just doesn’t work well. So even though we planned to make some meals there we could not. So just beware. If you don’t need a third bedroom or a kitchen you will be okay there. Also most of the light switches don’t seem to be connected to a light or lamp. We even tried to put light bulbs in lamps and recessed lights. But nothing worked. Finally fire alarm/smoke detector was no hooked up. Hopefully the very nice owner pays closer attention and resolves these issues because overall it can be a great house.
