Overall the property is clean and description on listing is accurate. Communication responses with owner was fast when we had a few issues with the internet shortly after arriving. Property is well kept and gated so we always felt safe in this neighborhood. Having Publix and Walmart nearby was another bonus.

This was a great location. The pool area was very good. The condo was a very good lay out. Steve was quick to replace the fry pans. And get the WiFi fixed when it went down one day. Floors could have been cleaner. Overall great place.

Sorry for late review. This place was like home! Great gated community with pool and workout facility. Condo is set up very nicely great full size kitchen, grill, beach equipment and kids toys! The apartment and the complex are super nice. Shops can be reached in 2 minutes. The closest beach is 20 minutes away. There is a point deduction for the cleanliness. The company that cleans the apartment after each guest didn't do a good job. The kitchen including dishes and pots was very dirty. But the landlord can't do anything about that. Communication with the landlord (Steve) was perfect and very helpful. We would come again.

Great Gulf Coast location

This condo is conveniently located in north Sarasota. It's close to almost everything you could want. Despite being just off University Parkway, it was quiet due to the large fountain in the central pond. Condo was comfortable and very well-equipped. Balcony overlooking the pond is a pleasant retreat. The host, Steve, was a pleasure to deal with. He was both proactive in his communications and very responsive when called upon. The only cautions about this condo are that it is on the third floor (up 40 steps - not steep - with 2 landings) and it does not have cable or satellite TV service. If you want live TV there is a limited selection or you have to be comfortable with streaming TV using the internet.

Excellent Property with Excellent Host

For my first time using VRBO, I could not have been more pleased to have worked with Steve, the property's host. He was an incredible host who was communicative and accommodating. The property was as described and offered the right setting for our 2 month stay. I strongly recommend working with this host and staying at this property if you will be in Sarasota, Florida.

Clean Condo in Great Location

Clean, well stocked and comfortable condo in an excellent location. Good restaurants and grocery store within a 5 minute walk. The amenities and landscaping within a secure gated location are well maintained. Please note that it is a 3rd floor condo if steps are an issue for you. The owner was easy to contact and is very responsive for questions or any issues. My wife who is admittedly picky suggests a refresh on couch pillows and bed linens. Although, they are clean. They are showing wear.

Owner was extremely friendly and helpful. Condo was a wow from moment I entered. Beautiful pool with loads of friendly people. Would have loved to buy there but nothing for sale. Convenient to airport, shopping and beaches. Even had beach chairs and umbrella!

My husband and I loved our “ Home Away From Home “ for 5 weeks!

Our Condo was perfect. It was beautifully decorated, nice and quiet complex, and we loved the pool. It is close to every store and restaurant you would ever need. We enjoyed beach hopping... no more than a 30 minute drive. Steve was great to work with too!

The very best of the best that VRBO has to offer!

Our stay was wonderful in this spectacular condo that is centrally located to all that the Sarasota area has to offer. It is tastefully furnished and decorated and very clean. You can see from the terrace and windows two fountains in the lake that light up at night. They are beautiful and the sound is very calming. What made this stay so special was the extraordinary customer service we received from Steve. He was positively marvelous, from leaving us small necessities in the kitchen and bathrooms to making sure everything was clean and laundered even on short notice. I have never known anyone who wanted the people who were staying at his condo to feel more at home. He is an "ultra super” host and we will definitely come back! Amazing Summer in Sarasota!!

This place is truly a home away from home. Top floor, quiet, close to bars and restaurants!! Steve was always available for any questions. Amazing pool, well kept grounds, and plenty of parking!! Walk to Starbucks in the morning and publix right across the street!! Even a little coin operated car washing area with vacuum!! 2 comfy beds and a fully stocked kitchen. Enjoy!!

This property is ideally located. It is removed from the busiest areas which allows opportunities for relaxed morning walks, but conveniently located for easy access to shopping, restaurants, golfing and the beaches. I appreciate that it is a gated community and the area in general makes one feel safe at all times. The condo is well decorated and clean and the view from the lanai overlooks the pond and palm trees. Great place to vacation and relax.

My home away from home

I had to work out of town for several months. I found this condo on VRBO and was so glad I did! It had beautiful furnishings with everything you would need. I was staying alone so it was important I felt safe which I did. After a stressful day at work, I enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the water. There was a beautiful second bedroom and bath so when a co-worker needed to stay it worked out great. It made staying out of town so much nicer! The owner is so nice and goes above and beyond to meet any need and communicate after you check in that all is ok. Close to shopping center, restaurant and drugstore.

Excellent condo, a very spacious and comfortable place to stay in Sarasota.

We rented this condo for the month of February. As we walked in, we noticed that the place was well maintained and everything was shiny and clean. The condo was well equipped, TV in every rooms. Electric BBQ in the screened in lanai which overlooked the pond. The place felt like home, very comfortable and spacious. We had an issue with the phones which were on the premises when we arrived. I sent him an email to the owner to simply inform him that these were failing. Next thing I know, the phone is ringing and the owner was informing me that new phones were being purchased and sent to the condo by courier and that I should receive these in a few days. Unbelievable the service we got. We were also in walking distance from the Publix grocery store and three liquor stores, as well as fine restaurants. I highly recommend this place. You will love it too! Thanks Steve. :):)

Looking forward to returning next year

This is a beautiful condo in Serenata, situated on the top floor on the lake side. Although there is no elevator, we found the steps up to the third floor to be easily navigated. The condo is nicely laid out and well equipped. Everything is relatively new, from the 3 high definition TVs to the major appliances. The electric BBQ on the screened lanai is excellent! The location of the complex is perfect - within walking distance of a very large Publix grocery store and close to shopping, restaurants (the Lazy Lobster is one of our favourites) and many Sarasota tourist attractions (not far from the Ringling Museum.) There is also a very large indoor mall under construction a few miles east on University Parkway (due to open in October 2014.) The swimming pool is beautiful, clean and always kept at about 86 degF. The fitness room is very well equipped. Most important, the owner, Steve, is always ready to help sort out any minor problems that may crop up. Having stayed at many VRBO properties over the past 10 years, we have to rate this one as one of the best. We have booked again for 2015.

Peaceful Retreat

This is a lovely condo, beautifully furnished, and updated with all the amenities you could want. Very centrally located near shopping and dining. During the hectic times of Christmas shopping and family gatherings we would return to the condo to find peace and relaxation! Enjoying our coffee each morning on the balcony overlooking grounds, featuring a soothing pond with a large water fountain and palm trees flowing in the breeze, was a wonderful way to start our day! We always felt safe and comfortable here. The owner was very accommodating to our every need, easy to communicate with, and very friendly. This will be our go to place Everytime we visit our family in Sarasota!

Seranata. An excellent experience

Having rented countless apartments for both business and holidays in numerous countries over the past 10 years, it is rare that the description, service, communication and experience all match. In this case, everything that Steve writes about his apartment is true. You definitely get an apartment in new and well cared-for condition. It is clean, in a quiet place in the complex and close to all shops and services. Even if you don't have a car (which is almost essential in Sarasota) you could easily live in Seranta. The grounds, pool, gym and apartment block is very well maintained. In fact I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Steve can't be faulted as the owner. He responds to any issues immediately.
