**Pets are welcome with a nightly non-refundable pet fee. (If you do not plan to bring a pet, please contact our office after booking, and we can remove this fee for you)

A great location and set back off the road, this is a cottage with quintessential Lakeside charm! This 2 bedroom, 1 bath cottage was most likely a carriage house in the late 1800's; no stairs to climb!

The Slanty Shanty has been updated to include new, full-size kitchen appliances (smaller dishwasher) as well as a fully stocked kitchen. New mattresses on all beds, new bathroom fixtures and freshly painted everything. The mini-split unit will keep you cool in the summer and provide heat if needed. The screened-in porch sits back off the road for a private experience during quiet summer nights without the bugs; we also have an outdoor eating area with a grill. Location is great; close to 5th Avenue gate, easy walking distance to town, to the scenic walk along Lake Erie.

very quaint, and some might say "quirky" hideaway.... well-equipped, very relaxing, loved the front porch, the outside cafe table, firepit. Hope to stay again next year.1

We stayed as overflow from a large visiting group so its good for a group of 4 adults. Very quiet. Thoughtful placement of hooks and shelves right where you need them.
