WELCOME TO THE CHALET ! SKI-IN SKI-OUT !! Your winter wonderland vacation awaits you at this slope-side ski chalet in Viking Village at Sunday River. Enjoy the privacy of a single home with 3 levels while having access to all of the mountain amenities ( fireworks, skis shops, night skiing and nightlife). The lower level offers a king bed, 2 bunkbeds (4 beds) and a full bathroom. The main floor is open concept with a wood stove, sectional seating, smart tv, dining table for 10, a bunk corner that will sleep 2, a kitchen and a full bathroom. The third floor is open concept with 2 king beds and one double bed. We also have a large sunny deck for a lunchtime break !

From this location, you can easily hop onto the Roadrunner trail just across the street and ski down to lifts at the White Cap Lodge. Ski home from Barker Mountain via Roadrunner to enjoy aprés ski by the wood fire. Viking Village is a neighborhood of single family ski chalets on the mountain.
Linens, towels, pillows and all bedding provided.
Coffee maker is a traditional drip style, filters provided.

Great location, clean and plenty of space

Lots of space. Although there are only two official bedrooms there are lots of beds with curtained off areas. Very cozy. Great access to road runner trail. Only drawback was no WiFi but cell service is good.

Sunday River Chalet

Spent Thanksgiving week with another family (total 4 adults & 4 children aged 4 -14). Everything was as described and the Owner was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Plenty of space for all. The kitchen, although small, accommodated everything we needed to cook our Thanksgiving feast. Overall it was a great week and we all agreed that we would happily spend another vacation here.

Great stay at Sunday River!

This was our first experience skiing at Sunday River, but we do ski extensively and like to stay "slopeside" when we go. This is why we selected this particular VRBO, as it described being right off the trail. It did NOT disappoint! You cross the street, walk about 10 feet through some trees, and there you are on the Roadrunner trail. This is a simple trail, fine for beginner level skiers. This takes you to two lifts (if you look at a map, they are on the left-most part of the mountain). This place is so cozy, a true ski chalet. We had 3 adults and 4 older teens and space (and beds) to spare as there is a common area on the third level that could have easily fit a few more. The place was well-stocked also, with kitchen and bath supplies. One thing to consider so you know for your planning is that there is no on-site washer/dryer. It isn't a big deal at all as long as you plan to pack all the underwear you will need for the week. There is no dishwasher either, but that wasn't a big issue either for us. The kitchen is small, but big enough as to enable making meals for a big group. There is a wood-burning stove which made evenings very cozy, and the common area just off the kitchen is so comfy. There is Wi-Fi, so if you have to do a bit of work on your vacation you should be able to get it done. The owner was very responsive to questions and provided advice when needed. This was a great experience and I look forward to returning and staying here in the future.

Ski Chalet

We had a wonderful time. My 83 year old father especially enjoyed the proximity to the slopes. The chalet is very well-furnished and provided plenty of room for our group of seven. We hope to be back!

Unbelievable! Why stay anywhere else?

Ski in/ski out. Skied home for lunch to meet up with family. Sunday River Trolley stopped right in front of the house to pick us up or drop us off and take us anywhere on the Mountain (loges, restaurants and nightlife). Pool is short walk or quick drive but it is one of the nicer ones I have seen at Sunday River with outside pool and Hot Tub with nice sauna, locker room and fireplace. I love the house as it has a swiss chalet look and feel to it. Much better than staying at a similar sized condo on the mountain.

WE HAVE A FOURTH GENERATION NOW ENJOYING THE SKI CHALET AND THE AMENITIES AT SUNDAY RIVER. THIS IS ONE OF THE FIRST SKI HOMES BUILT AT SUNDAY RIVER.
