Checking into this cabin really felt more like coming home to visit mom and dad instead of staying in a strangers home. Everywhere you look you'd just see a little reminder that as a guest you're thought of, cared for and very welcome to be there. You can feel the cleanliness and peace of this home right as you first walk in and the longer you stay it just gets better. They owners really thought of everything you could ever need or want while you're there and even though we left our pup with our parents this time, we saw that there is the sweetest pet welcoming areas too. The scenery was just insane and the photos just cant capture everything this place has to offer. We enjoyed watching several different bird species and shooting stars too. We've stayed many places in all corners of the world and no place has topped this one. Very impressed and thankful we got to share their slice of heaven for a few days!

It's our paradise because of tenants like you. We hope you come back soon to bless us again, you're family now. Ken
We loved the open space and the clean, open cabin experience. We had a great opportunity to hike and explore both the property and the nearby attractions.
This is a gem of a cabin, and we really enjoyed our stay. We experienced a little snafu with scheduling/housekeeping, but the owner more than made up for any deficiencies with great communication and a discount. We got to meet the housekeeper, who is amazing, and keeps the cabin very clean, with homey, comfortable touches. The wildlife was amazing--great birding location. Morning on the deck was magical. If we have the chance, we will absolutely be back.
Great place to get some quiet time with family and hunt surrounding areas with a premium house to come back to. Beautiful scenery and very welcoming, thank you Ken!
Absolutely beautiful property with great views! The area is gorgeous with a stream you can go down and see, and you might see deer and turkeys if you're lucky! The home itself is well kept and comfortable, and also stocked with tons of goodies for guests, which was a really nice touch!
Location is stunning, and what a beautiful, well-appointed cabin to spend time in! We came out to avoid fireworks for the July 4th weekend, and we were not disappointed…the only things we heard were birdsong in the morning and the running water of the meandering river in the distance day and night. There’s also virtually no light pollution, so the stars put in their own show every night if it’s clear. Really lovely property and very gracious hosts. The only drawback was the fact there are two cabins on the property and they are fairly close to each other, so you may not be totally alone on the 120 acres. We wished the listing had stated that, as we did think we would be the only guests on the property and it’s one of the reasons we booked it-to be completely isolated. The other cabin did have guests for the weekend; we just tried to stay out of their way and respect everyone’s privacy. All in all, excellent accommodations and a stunning venue.

We are glad you enjoyed our piece of paradise. The new cabin is being tested out and we hadn't gotten to updating the description before you rented it. We have since updated it to drive clarity and expectations. We hope to see you back again in the future. Regards, Ken
This is a wonderful location, lovingly maintained. The homey touches make it even more welcoming. The stars at night are immaculate sitting outside on the deck.
The view is worth the hike! Comfortable luxury, well stocked kitchen. Beautiful views from the deck, but if you want the ultimate view, it’s well worth the hike straight up the mountain!
Had fun was there to watch the stars. Loved the air fryer. The cows where funny when they came up to the house.

The layout and view were amazing! The house was so well equipped, easy to pop in for a few days. Great communication and access to local features made our trip even more enjoyable.
I would not recommend booking using Expedia (VRBO). The hassle for deposit and communication added frustration that could have been avoided.
Couldn't ask for a better host! He made sure I had everything I needed plus more! The property is up to date and very clean! The hot tub on the front porch was much needed after the long flight/drive. 10/10!
I agree with the many positive reviews this property has received. I can add that we chose it for its apparent accessibility, and that too was a big plus. One member of our party uses a cane and has severe activity limitations. We wanted a place where that person could still be "on vacation" despite spending almost all of their time at the cabin, while yet allowing other members of our party access to hiking and so forth. The deck, chairs, and picture windows are such that whatever the weather, you always have a lovely view and a comfortable place to sit and admire it. There is a little ramp for the sill into the cabin. The interior doorways are barn doors (not in the tiniest bit soundproof, alas) but which do open very wide. The shower has a wand attachment, and there is a shower bench next to the washing machine.I can't say if this would work well for a person in a wheelchair -- for example, there are no bars in the bathroom -- but for a cane/rollator situation I think it is excellent. We very much enjoyed the deep quiet, the many birds, and the comfortable beds. For a quick afternoon outing, we can recommend the Royal Clothiers thrift store in LaGrande, and the absolutely fabulous cardamom rolls at JaxDog café and bookstore. For spending time at the creek, we also recommend the day use area at the Catherine Creek park a few miles further down the road, for shade and ease of access.
This amazing property was the perfect prelude to the rest of our vacation. The house is so well appointed that it almost instantly goes from house to home. The views are wonderful, from in the house to the best deck we have experienced. And the wild life was another boost to each day, morning to sunset, the birds singing, chipmunks scrambling, and the quail and turkey visiting the feeding station . . . Just WOW. The cheerful background of Catherine Creek rippling through the valley just added to this premier adventure.Everything was well prepared and ready for our stay. Two days were all we had time for this trip, but we will look to make this a great starter or relaxing finish to any future travels in the area. It is also worthy of a dedicated destination for a refreshing reset beyond the reach of mundane daily life.
