Seafront apartment in historic Three Cities with great views over Grand Harbour

The apartment is licensed by the Malta Tourism Authority (Licence No HPI/6655) in the HFP Comfort 1-2 category.

Not only does the apartment have stunning views of Grand Harbour but is also just a short stroll away from the 12th century Fort St Angelo and the Grand Harbour Marina with its ocean-going superyachts, restaurants, wine bars and Maritime Museum.

As a fully equipped three bedroom family home, the apartment offers a high standard of contemporary, stylish accommodation for holidaymakers seeking a quiet, relaxing holiday on the doorstep of one of Malta’s oldest, most beautiful and historic cities, Birgu.

There is a large, open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room that opens out onto a sea-facing stone balcony with table and chairs.

The large master bedroom has a superking-size bed and an en suite shower room. The second bedroom has a king size bed and shares a family bathroom with the third bedroom which has twin beds and a door to the internal courtyard. All bedrooms have air-conditioning.

The apartment is fully furnished as a family home rather than a holiday let. Its contemporary style with design classics such as a Le Corbusier chaise longue and Noguchi coffee table is complemented with an eclectic mix of colourful pictures and rugs to provide a vibrant yet relaxing environment.

If you would like our cleaner to clean the apartment during your stay, you can request her to do this and pay her directly.

Airport pick up and key collection: Unless you wish to make your own way from the airport, we can arrange for you to be picked up from the airport (6km from apartment) by our preferred taxi company.

If you wish to hire a car, you can park it in a secure parking space in the outdoor car park adjacent to St Angelo Mansions.

In the apartment, you will find an information pack containing further details about the apartment, Birgu, Maltese tourist attractions, maps and bus timetables.

There is a minimum stay of seven nights between 1 June and 30 September and a minimum stay of five nights for the rest of the year.

A Perfect Location for a Relaxing Stay in Malta
This property in Birgu, Malta has a beautiful setting. The ground floor balcony looks across the marina and enjoys views of the Grand Harbour and Valetta in the distance. The accommodation is roomy and as presented in the documentation and is equipped with all the amenities to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.

Fabulous stay in lovely Birgu
Excellent apartment in a perfect location. Homely and comfortable, plenty of space for 6. Well equipped throughout including outdoor seating for sitting in the balcony to watch the boats and fireworks. We really enjoyed jumping into the harbour outside the building to swim. Situated in the best place to experience historic Malta, walking distance to lots or great bars and restaurants in Birgu and Kalkara, plus easy to take the boats across to Valletta. We had a fabulous stay and hope to return.

Fantastic harbour view!
We all loved staying at Christiane's apartment in Birgu. The flat was spotless, and very well equipped especially the kitchen, so much so we tried to guess what we would not find!! A colander! The view from the balcony is fantastic, and we were lucky enough to be there when the fireworks from Valletta were taking place, from row seating!! We would love to go back again sometime and highly recommend, many thanks for letting us stay!

Lovely stay in Birgu
Lovely property in a brilliant location. Loved being able to swim in the harbour, easy to get to Valletta and lots of local restaurants. Plenty of space for our whole party. Information for the keys clear, just complicated by Ryanair changing flight times as it meant we arrived about 1am which made the process stressful in the dark.

Perfect location
We spent 2 weeks in Christiane's apartment in Birgu. You notice at once that this not simply a holiday rental but a place which is loved and lived in. The kitchen is very well equipped and it is fun to cook what you have found at the markets or the little shops in Birgu. The beds are very comfy -- we couldn't believe how well (and long!) we slept.The flat is large enough to allow everyone "private space". Sitting on the balcony for breakfast is simply perfect. I imagine the balcony in summer is paradise in the evenings. Not necessarily in February especially when you experience a cyclone! The neighbours are friendly. The local shops, bars and restaurants are excellent (as long as you are not expecting huge supermarkets!) The little ferry to Valletta runs every 30 minutes. The fast ferry to Gozo (takes only 45 minutes) and leaves from the terminal where you arrive from Birgu. The bus service is excellent. The location has everything you would wish for and you certainly do not need a car The taxi pick-up by Franklin Garage at the airport which Christiane organised was ideal. All in all we would definitely recommend Christiane's flat.

The apartment has a fabulous location with stunning views and is very spacious. The kitchen is very well equipped and there are lots of books and games for visitors to enjoy. My only “criticism” is that the soft furnishings are looking a little tired, but I believe that this is reflected in the price. If you are looking for pristine luxury without the associated price tag then good luck in your search. If you want a spacious and well located place to stay with a parking space for a family or group of friends then I would highly recommend this apartment.

This apartment has the most amazing location for being near to Valetta, views of the Grand Harbour with bars, restaurants and shops near by. The apartment is spacious, very comfortable evening sitting area with morning sun on the balcony for breakfast time Ample towels to use bathroom and beach. ( saves luggage space) Shower in bathroom need a some attention. Kitchen fully equipped and seating for six at dinning table. washing machine and drier. Safe parking in a secure garage. I would wholly recommend this apartment for a holiday if wishing to stay near Valetta or Grand Harbour.

Great view, comfortable and spacious waterside apartment.
This ground floor apartment is comfortable, quiet, spacious, well stocked and has a small balcony overlooking the Grand Harbour, the tip of Valletta and Kalkara. Birgu is beautiful, probably the nicest place on Malta. Valletta is easily reached by either boat or bus (2 hour time limit for onward travel to other parts of the island). There are several waterfront restaurants overlooking the marina, a few in Birgu square and more within walking distance. The weather was warm in early November. The apartment has a fantastic collection of books and we recommend watching the Malta Story DVD. There is a small balcony and plenty of seats, cushions etc. A lovely place to stay.

Fantastic Location
The apartment is located in a quiet area of Birgu and being on one floor was good for some of our party. It has easy access to waterfront restaurants and some fantastic ones in Birgu too. We had super meals at Be Birgu, Osteria & Tal-Petut. The view across the grand harbour was amazing and we watched boats and cruise ships coming and going whilst sitting on the balcony. It was very easy to catch a ferry or water taxi across the harbour to explore Valletta and travel back by bus too! Despite the rain with thunder & lightning we had a couple of sunny days and enjoyed trips to Mdina, Marsaxlokk and all around the island. For those looking for a bit more adventure, there is plenty! We can thoroughly recommend Diveshack in Sliema and jumping in the water at St Peter's Pool for those wanting an adrenaline rush. All in all a good apartment in a great location on a wonderful island which made for a super mulit-generational trip. Thank you.

First ever visit to Malta
The location was out of this world. Right on the harbour we sat on the balcony watching the huge liners come in and depart along with the little fishing boats. The ferry over to Valletta only cost 90 cents return including the lift as we are seniors. Public transport is so cheap you don't need to hire a car. The appartment is huge with everything you need . The taxi was arranged by the owner who kept in touch with you and gave you all the information you needed..It consisted of three double bedrooms two bathrooms and the lounge could have seated about 10 people. Would thoroughly recommend this property and we hope to come back in the future

Wonderful Apartment
The apartment was everything we wanted and more! Correspondence with Christiane was excellent. The view was stunning. Great air con in the bedrooms as it was extremely hot outside. Would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return one day.

What a view!
I stayed in this wonderful apartment with my sister and a friend for a week. It has a huge living space and is well equipped. The views from the balcony are stunning and I have so many photos from this viewpoint. The beds were comfortable and there was enough hot water for 3 people showering daily. The balcony has sun until around 11.30am so we made the most of that and let the light flood into the apartment - it can be quite dark and cold (heaters provided). The apartment is close to the water taxis to Vallarta (2€ at this time of year) and several places to eat. The square behind St Lawrence's church has a couple of tiny shops but supermarkets are a distance away. The buses also stop here. Christiane is really helpful and communication is excellent. She was available to resolve a minor issue. I wouldn't hesitate in booking this apartment again and I loom forward to returning to Malta in the future. Many thanks for the use if your wonderful apartment Christiane.

The apartment is lovely and comfortable, nice and clean.the owners are very helpful and reply quickly to any thing we asked.They booked the taxis from the airport which if you have a late flight is very useful.The view from the balcony is lovely.There are lots of things to do around this area. Along the harbour and across the bridge walk along the waterfront to near the end the restaurant Tas-Serena has great food.

Fantastic location
This apartment is perfect for exploring Malta. Beautiful waterfront location, with wonderful views. Comfortable facilities, as described in the listing. Very helpful owner - we certainly appreciated having the airport pickup arranged. One of our party has difficulty walking, but the lift opposite the front door straight down to the carpark made it very easy. Thank you.

A small haven of peace with splendid views.
That apartment deserves a good 4 and a half star easily; unfortunately, the option is not available. It is perfectly located, in Vittoriosa, which in my opinion is much more beautiful and preserved than Valletta, easily reachable in a 5 minutes taxi boat trip. There is a very helpful security staff, and even though the apartment doesnt have an underground parking lot, it s easy to park nearby, under the security camera. Within ten minutes walk, you have access to all basic commodities. There is a market every tuesday morning where we found local honey, seafood and vegetables. The flat is facing east, so you can have sunny breakfasts on the balcony, with great views over Valletta and Kalkara Creek. The location is very quiet. It's a small haven of peace. I ve already pointed out how close the apartment is to Valletta by boat, it s about as close to Marsaskala by car, which is a fine seaside resort and not much further to Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village. Both serve fresh fishes. It's also very close to the Hypogeum and the Tarxien Temples. It's less than 20 minutes away from the airport. Now for the not that good parts, besides the livingroom, no room has a sight ; most windows go into the tiny yard surrounded by the five stories of the building. People tend to ditch their spoiled waters there which was really a problem, particularly if you want to dry cloth there. The dishwasher was not working well ; we always had to finish to clean the dishes by hand (some dishes had been stored dirty when we arrived). Last minor issue, were the swimming masks, that were all broken. All in all, I would highly recommend to rent this apartment and I am personnally eager to go back NB :Not related to our stay in the flat, I recommend being very cautious if you plan on renting a car to the greenmotion company. Indeed, despite a displayed 120€ charge for the week, I ended up paying close to 400€ : I paid a separate insurance, since the company didn't have one displayed on the website ; then at the airport they told me that insurance was not valid, and asked me either to deposit 1500€ or pay 11€ more per day ; then they told me that I had to pay for the oil, since it was a return empty policy (it was indeed written in very small characters, that, for trips over 3 days, it was a take half full, return empty policy _ I still had to pay a full charge of oil and not half full), which is close to impossible to do considering the small distances on the islands

Half term family holiday
The location of this apartment is fantastic and sitting on the balcony for breakfast was great. We didn't hire a car as there was plenty to do just meandering around Birgu. We did walk to the sandy bay for a swim but mostly we just went for a dip in front of the apartment. We used the ferry to get to Valetta and the open top bus stop was also close by. The local grocery shops serve the local community but had everything we required. The only thing missing was tourist shops. The owner arranged for our pickup at the airport and the driver waited while we purchased bread milk etc in the airport shop as we arrived late on a Saturday. The property was clean and well furnished and very comfortable. We would recommend this property and would consider staying there again ourselves.

A lovely, very large apartment, with what must be one of the the best outlooks on the island. Perfectly placed, a short boat taxi to the centre of Valetta, which is transformed since we were last on the island. Plenty of local places to eat and shop for essentials. Even the music server has something for everyone. Enjoy yourselves, we did!

Loved Watching the Boats!
Our party of four stayed several nights here and loved it! The apartment is spacious and well-equipped. We watched many interesting boats come and go through the harbour. One drawback was the parking. A bit finicky, the expected designated spot was not available and we had to park on the street. This made us a little nervous, but all was fine in the end. The owner was available for help on several occasions and was very easy to work with. Grocery shops in Birgu are a bit thin on the ground, but we really enjoyed eating at nearby restaurants and cafes. A couple of times, Cargo (one of the nearby restaurants) happily prepared take-home meals from their main menu for us. Weather-wise, it was still quite hot when we were there. The bedrooms cooled down nicely at night with the A/C. Because the apartment faces northeast, there was only sun on the patio during the morning -- with the heat, this is a good thing! Overall, we were delighted with this accommodation and would happily go back.

What a fantastic view!
This is without doubt the best view we have had from a holiday let, the apartment itself is modern, well equipped and in a great position in Vittoriosa one of the most unspoilt areas of Valleta. I cannot recommend it highly enough, we are already looking for an excuse to go back. Great owners who were very helpful with the organising our trip. Check this apartment out you will not be disappointed great position for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

I lived in Malta until I was 11 - a most wonderful, 'golden' childhood spending most of my time either in or by the sea. I have always retained a very strong emotional tie to this quirky island and we bought our apartment in 2007 to spend time here with our family and friends.

Why they chose this property

The location is just superb - as soon as I arrive, throw open the front doors and go onto the balcony, I can forget everything else. There is always something to watch in Grand Harbour - from superyachts and super-sized cruise ships to rowing boats and the local luzzu. Even a dolphin or two if you are lucky!

What makes this property unique

The view - and the access to such a wide variety of places to eat and drink just on the doorstep. In the summer, we also love swimming in the sea just outside the apartment or crossing the creek and making our way round to the sandy bay at Rinella.
