The location was nice but other than that not excited. It was old, dirty, and does not have a hot tub like the ad states I even ask specifically about the hot tub and was told yes but there hasn’t been one there for 20 years according to management.

Location & Staff only Positives

Nice location, staff and ability to store luggage are positive. The bathroom was really broken down and dirty-old carpet and falling apart drapes. Light guard in the bathroom falling down. Sheets were clean and bed well made but the beds are very small. Just a broken down hotel room. The photos are NOT accurate at all….its the old Manhattan hotel close to Times Square.

Good option for affordable NYC stay.

I was expecting something a little more upscale from the listing, but this hotel is very old and outdated, which was very evident. The beds were squeaky, the bathroom door barely closed, the tv didn't turn on, there wasn't a fridge in the room, the ice machines outside did not work (though there was a water dispenser on each floor), and the elevators must be slow because it took us 15 minutes to leave in the morning with our suitcase because every elevator that opened on our floor was jam packed with people. The lobby smells WAY too strong like they are trying to cover a bad scent and the cafe that is touted was not really a cafe and not open often. HOWEVER, the location is good, the staff is VERY friendly and helpful, and it's hard to find an affordable place in NYC, so this was a decent option. I also didn't like that I couldn't communicate directly with a "host" like I can with a typical place like this.
