The apt. is in a good area, is clean and updated, and has a very responsive owner. Guests should be aware that this is a third-story walk-up and that there is no living room. The communal living space is the eat-in kitchen.
Came with 5 friends for our first time in Montreal, didn’t know what to expect in terms of metro access and location. This place was great, a 2 minute walk to the station and never more than a 15 minute ride to everything we wanted to see, which was a lot. There were a few spots that could be cleaner, but it wasn’t a dirty property by any means. In terms of safety, the location and property both satisfied our needs, we never felt uneasy walking around past midnight or early in the morning. Host was efficient, polite, and informative when needed. The pictures do paint the property to be slightly larger than it actually was, but the bedrooms and kitchen were comfortable and the back patio was great when it wasn’t raining. Overall, great experience and would recommend to any groups interested in traveling to Montreal!
First off, our host Sam was incredibly communicative. Responses to questions came within hours and several times Sam reached out to make sure everything was to our liking. I do wish check-in instructions could be shared a few days in advance instead of 24-hours to plan travel plans earlier.The Apartment: As one reviewer said, the big thing I did not realize was that there as no livingroom area. There are 4 bedrooms, a kitchen, 1 bath and that is all. The only TV is in the kitchen so a family movie night means sitting around the table in one of the 4 chairs as there are no couches. The WiFi was very spotty meaning half the time streaming on the tv did not work. The unit itself is the top floor of a 3-story building meaning lots of steps. The outdoor patio shown in pictures is shared between residents of all 3 units and is only accessible via a steep spiral staircase. We spent most of our time outside of the apartment so this wasn't a dealbreaker but wanted to mention for future renters.Parking: There are no designated spots to park in. There is a lot next door but no-pay station and only a sign mentioning a sticker is required with no directions on how to obtain the sticker. I was able to find a spot a couple streets over but pay attention to the signs. They are all in french and when translated mention certain days/hours parking is restricted, or some sections requiring yet another sticker.Overall functional but a couch & tv in one of the rooms would make it cozier.
