The cabin is wonderful. We liked reading the history of how three cabins were used to create this one. It was very clean with comfortable beds and had a well stocked kitchen. The two upstairs bedrooms are lofts and open to the main floor. The property is quiet and private, a great place to unwind and relax. The hot tub and beautiful view were high lights. The snacks were a nice surprise as well. David was very responsive and communicated well.
Our family absolutely loved our stay!! Such a peaceful place and amazingly beautiful views. The hosts were wonderful and very responsive to our questions! Definitely a hidden gem!!
Incredible property! Beautiful view from an amazing classic home with modern updates. A quiet getaway at the end of the road. We have already booked our next stay here!
Visited with my sister for a long weekend. We’ve already been discussing coming back. The house was clean, hot tub was wonderful, and the view was amazing.
House was nice, welcoming atmosphere. Loved the location, had everything you needed. Very clean. Saw lots of Eagles. View was amazing! Communication with the host was great.
The place was spectacular! The log cabin itself was well created and felt very comfortable and welcoming. The view was a 10. We spent quite a lot of time just enjoying that. The hot tub was a great addition to the overall experience. My friend and I share a birthday and go on a retreat annually. We decided this was our best one yet.
We had a wonderful stay at this rustic cabin! It is beautifully appointed and very clean and comfortable. We appreciated the history of the house and the colonial style. The hot tub is huge and overlooks a breathtaking view of the river, for lots of eagle watching! We will definitely return, it was a great night. Dave is a great host and even left snacks and deinks
A hidden gem! We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. The view is priceless. Super clean. Super cozy and comfortable. They have literally everything you could possibly need. And the hosts are incredible! If you're looking to check out of the business of life for a bit - you've found your place ; )
The pictures actually don't do this place justice. It is much better in person. Super clean. Picture this: Sitting in the living room by the fire, surrounded by logs 200 years old that were cut 175 years ago, overlooking the great Mississippi River valley. All with modern day conveniences blended in. That's what this place is.
Authentic rustic cabin with all the modern conveniences including high speed internet and a large hot tub! This cabin far exceeded our expectations. The photos don't do it justice! Though the home was toasty warm, each room had it's own mini electric fireplace space heater, fuzzy blankets, and high end pillows and mattresses. Kids enjoyed making smore's in the fireplace and discovered a trunk full of games in the family room. I was worried about lack of privacy with bedrooms located in open lofts, but there is enough division of space that it was not an issue. There is also a private suite downstairs with direct access to the hot tub for Mom and Dad to relax after the kids fell asleep. We are already planning another stay during peak fall foliage season. There's so much to explore in this area of Wisconsin/Iowa, we could keep ourselves busy for weeks. Can't wait to return!!

10/10 stay! My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and treated ourselves to a getaway. The view was stunning, amenities were perfect, and the cabin was exceptionally clean. The decor made it so cozy - and the outdoor areas made for the perfect hangout. The hosts were wonderful to work with. We will definitely be recommending this to our friends and family!
