As a family of 5, this was a perfect size house for us. Very close to Main Street shopping and restaurants. Also very close to skiing at Copper and Breckenridge. We really enjoyed our time.
We really enjoyed our month long stay in the very comfortable space this home provided. It was nice to have some separation amongst the sleeping spaces. It was nice to Beale to park our car and store our ski gear in the large garage We appreciated that the home was well stocked and well equipped. The host was very responsive when we contacted her with questions.
The home comfortably fit our family and had everything we needed. It was in a great location. Our host Dorelle was very responsive and was easy to get a hold of. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay there again.
Our second time staying in this home. Absolutely love it! The access to hiking trails and bike riding right outside the front door is unbeatable. The view of Peak One from the front porch as the sun sets is just outstanding. While Frisco can be bustling, the home is in a very quiet neighborhood.
Fantastic stay ... Dorelle was a great host. Location was perfect for exploring, hiking trails within a 5 minute walk, and Main Street in Frisco was only a a10 minute walk. Frisco is a great base for exploring the mountains. Breckinridge is a 15 minute drive. Besides Breck, we took day trips to Fairplay, Winter Park and Leadville.
Overall we enjoyed our time in Frisco but had some issues with our stay at the property. The house was in good shape and very clean, especially for a pet friendly property, but items described in the listing were less than accurate. The pull out bed in the basement room was missing springs to support the mattress making it unsuitable for sleeping on. Upon bringing this to the hosts attention she recommended isn’t the inflatable mattress in a closet. However, I feel that when the listing shows an amenity it should be usable. The host indicated there would be paper towels that would last three days but there was only half a roll when we arrived. So we had to pop back out to get some for our stay. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and pillows in the main bedrooms could use replacing as they had little to no support. Overall the home was very clean and in good order, but a little maintenance on the sleeping arrangements would upgrade the experience from good to great.

With 140 reviews and a. 10.0 rating, I don't need to say how disappointing and upset I am with this review. I was unaware that the downstairs queen sofa had broken springs and I will include my response when Tom alerted me to this because his quote of my response sounds like I was being snarky. Not my intent. I am remodeling and replacing the queen sleeper with a king bed. Additionally he didn't like my pillows (I personally like a flat pillow for my neck). I replace them regularly and have extras in the closets. Tom's rental was for 3 persons so I'm not sure why he even noticed the pull out sleeper since I had 2 king beds, 2 twin beds and 2 bunks. Nor, why he couldn't find enough pillows. Finally, his concern was a half roll of paper towels. I don't feel this deserves a rating of "D". My response to Tom on March 19th: "Hi Thomas, I was not aware that the pull out queen bed was missing springs. I have never liked pull outs and therefore, when I have large groups I often suggest the blow up beds instead. I am truly sorry if you wanted that option and it was unavailable. I especially appreciate your bringing this to my attention because I will be converting this room to a bedroom with a closet, king bed and sliding door at the end of the ski season in fact I was about to list the couch for free on Facebook marketplace but now I believe I should get a company to just haul it away."
Wonderful pet friendly home for medium to large families and groups! The open kitchen and upper living room with large dining room table was a great central hang out spot. Nice bedroom and bathroom setup to maximize space and privacy. One of the best stocked rentals I have ever seen, it had everything we needed and more. This is a very pet friendly home with a nice fenced in section directly off the back deck. The location is great! The house is .5 miles from Main Street and the bus stop to get to Breckenridge and Copper and 1.5 miles from Frisco Transit Center that will take you to any surrounding ski town. The house itself is .25 miles from multiple national forest service trails which provided great dog walking. The host was very responsive and assisted with everything we needed. Highly recommend this place for your next family/group trip; please help keep it dog friendly by cleaning up after your pets!

Thank you Taylor for your 5 star review. I'm thrilled that you will be back next year. Thank you (and I'm sorry you needed to do this) for cleaning up after a previous guest's pet. New guests and house cleaners should not have to do this.
Property is great! Within walking distance of Main Street shops and restaurants and multi purpose trail and hiking trails. Short drive to ski areas (Breckenridge and Keystone) and not too far to drive to Beaver Creek and Vail ski areas.
We had a great stay with my family. The house is conveniently located, near main ski resorts. There are awesome amenities for the community (hot tub, indoor pool, dry sauna, steam room, sport room)The neighborhood is very friendly and helped us clearing the driveway after a huge snow storm
Very comfortable home with plenty of room for our multi-generational family. Fenced in yard for pup and 2 car garage is a plus! Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes, cups, pots and pans.
The house was just as described. It was perfect for our family and the whole process was very easy. The location is great. It is so easy to walk into town or access the bike path.
Our family group of six adults enjoyed our stay very much. The property is very comfortable. The Frisco location gives easy access to many ski resorts, plus the amenities of downtown Frisco. The owner is very helpful and responsive with questions. We hope to visit again soon.
This was our first time staying at a VRBO and we were nervous. We were pleasantly surprised. The rental was clean. Had everything we needed. It is in a beautiful area and close to town, beautiful stained glass. The host was welcoming gave and very nice
Enjoyed Frisco and skiing at Copper. House is welcoming and owner is responsive. We were a family of 5 adults and one medium size dog. Walked down town for a little shopping and one one dinner out. Also hiked local trails. Kitchen was well stocked for our needs.
Stayed between Christmas and New Year’s Day. Location is close to Main Street and our non-skiers enjoyed visiting all of the shops. Short drive to Copper Mountain. Plenty of beds for our family of 7. Kitchen is laid out well and the large dining table was perfect for playing board games. Host was extremely helpful and responded quickly. We definitely will be back.

Thank you Mark for your review. Staying in Frisco gives you lots of opportunities for non-skiers such as shopping as well as walking and snow shoeing.
About the host
Hosted by Dorelle Ackermann
We are retired school teachers from Illinois and have enjoyed skiing in Summit County since the late 1970's. We never tire of biking the beautiful paved biking paths in the summer although the mountain bike trails have humbled us. We especially enjoy the Frisco community where people love the outdoors and remain friendly to tourists.
Why they chose this property
Summit county is an ideal, year round vacation area. Locals say that tourists come for the skiing and stay for the summers which is exactly what I did. Ski resorts make ideal vacation locations for summers because they have an abundance of lodging so summer rental rates are more reasonable than areas that depend on summer rentals exclusively. If you want to stay active in the 'dog days of summer' the low humidity and temperatures in the 70's are perfect. In addition, ski resorts want summer business so they have music concerts, golfing, mountain biking, hiking to attract visitors.
What makes this property unique
Frisco is centrally located and therefore preferable to staying at a ski resort. This allows you to ski various mountains during your stay and is considerably less expensive. Check the rates at Copper Mountain and you'll see what I mean. In addition, Frisco has the charm of a friendly small town. When I lost my wallet on the paved bike path to Copper Mt., someone found it and placed an ad in the local paper to find me. Numerous local businesses saw it and told me.
