A lovely gite in a beautiful, serene area. The property had everything we needed and the 'welcome pack' was very thoughtful.The owners were kind and communicated well with us.We would thoroughly recommend a stay!

The property was exactly as described and we had everything and more than we expected. The generosity of the owners to have left so much was greatly appreciated.The peace was wonderful. Had I been able I would have done the mowing as the grass was getting quite long.

Although we didn’t get to meet Robert & Gabrielle (emergency trip to Uk) we communicated by email and we were happy that everything seemed ok. We had made provisions if there was a problem but thankfully this wasn’t called on. With regards to the grass, it grows so fast during the summer months I wish I’d left Robert the key for the sit-on lawnmower! You should have seen it when we got back!! The gite was immaculate when we returned and I can’t thank them enough.

Our stay was quite nice. The grounds were park-like, it was pitch black at night and completely quiet. The house was lovingly decorated and the kitchen was well-appointed. There were only a few minor problems. For example, there were no folding luggage supports. Light in downstairs bathroom to dim to shave by. Wished for modernized recycling instructions & an option for composting. The smallest sink in the world in the upstairs bath. Memory foam mattresses. Great stay, overall.

Idyllic spot in Normandy

We had a wonderful stay at Serendipity in southwest Normandy. The house was absolutely spotless, beautifully decorated, and full of character. The peaceful gardens were a delight to wake up to and made for a relaxing place to unwind after sightseeing.The location couldn’t have been better—within easy reach of Mont St Michel, the Normandy beaches, and historic Bayeux. Domfront, the nearest town, had everything we needed including a supermarket and a cafe right in the middle of town overlooking the medieval city walls. Don’t miss a visit to the nearby village of Lonlay-l’Abbaye—both picturesque and home to the delightful Biscuiterie de L’Abbaye, where we stocked up on treats.Mike and Lyn were exceptional hosts, greeting us warmly with local cider and fresh milk for that much-needed cup of tea after our drive from Paris. Their hospitality truly made the stay even more special.Highly recommended—we would return in a heartbeat!
