Boston is waiting for you at The Red Door Carriage House, a historic 90 year-old structure that was the carriage house for the original farmhouse (our home) . Located in beautiful West Roxbury Mass. Located 3 miles from Fenway (Red Sox), Longwood Medical Center (all of the major hospitals) and 2 miles from Boston College. A 5 minute walk to the West Roxbury commuter rail station (10 minutes to South Station) and all bus lines into Boston, this apartment is a spectacular private and tranquil retreat. The two bedrooms, on separate floors, feature queen beds, perfect for a soothing night's sleep. Enjoy the brilliant amenities like AC, WiFi, laundry room, private off-street parking and a beautiful relaxing outside private deck. The bathrooms offer a wonderful bathtub and shower combo including handicap grab bars in the lower bathroom shower. We are available to answer any questions while you stay at our place.

Sorry guest had just an Ok experience. Communication with guests is our strength. Unfortunately with this guest their communication efforts were not great. We communicate on a daily basis with all our guests to insure they enjoy their stay. This guest’s communication with us were infrequent and limited to just one or two word responses. If there is an issue with the stay we would have dealt with it immediately had it been brought to our attention. Nothing was mentioned to us about any problems. Unfortunately we can’t fix what we are not aware of.

West Roxbury stay for our Boston getaway

We were excited about the property we rented and it exceeded our expectations. The Carriage House is beautiful. David is a wonderful host who is very personable, very responsive, and clearly loves this area. The neighborhood is quiet, beautiful, and near cute shops and restaurants. It is a great home base for our touring of the Boston area. We highly recommend the Red Door Carriage House.

The kitchen was so well-stocked! Thanks, David, for the selection of Keurigs. We are heavy coffee drinkers and probably used more than our share. Check in was so simple. After a 14-hour drive, David met us at the car with a big welcome and helped us to get settled. Couldn’t ask for more!

lovely home in the best of boston neighborhoods

great stay for two couples as the bedrooms are on two separate floors. this carriage house is in a very high end neighborhood with close proximity 30 minutes to everything. home had everything we needed to cook, sleep comfortably and hang out with family. david was so accommodating and even brought in our delivered groceries when our flight was delayed. thanks david.

The house had an overwhelming mildew/mold smell throughout expecially downstairs in bedroom closet. The host stopped by to tell us to make sure the doors and windows were closed. Without opening the windows the smell would have been unbearable.

After 8 years and over 450 five star reviews, I find this review questionable. The guests were there for 6 nights and NEVER brought this issue to my attention and I spoke with the frequently. Had they, I would have addressed and resolved the problem immediately. Maybe the odor she is referring to was from the cigars they were smoking on property completely against our house rules. I do need to mention that I ask all guests to close windows when they leave the property for security purposes but they are free to open as desired when they are on property. 8 years, 450 plus reviews and only 2 non five star reviews. I think that is all that needs to be mentioned. It’s a shame when guests have concerns but completely fail to communicate those concerns, break the house rules, then proceed to write unwarranted reviews. I ask anyone who has an interest in the Carriage House to please read any of my more than 400 reviews for a clear and precise recommendation of the property. I glad to say, no odors reported in over 8 years.
