It’s common to see deer wandering through the property, adding to the magic of the mountain setting.
There’s plenty of room for kids to run, explore, and play across all 10 acres. Let them unplug, breathe fresh air, and experience nature up close while you relax and take in the beautiful mountain views.
After a day exploring Yosemite or swimming at Bass Lake, gather around the seasonal fire pit (firewood provided) and enjoy stories, s’mores, and star-filled skies. With little light pollution, the stargazing here is incredible.
Our home is located at the top of the property, giving you privacy while we remain nearby and available if you need anything during your stay. We love sharing our farm and helping families create meaningful, joyful experiences.

The hosts were very kind and helpful. All of the animals seen in the pictures were also very friendly and made this stay very memorable for us. This is a nice, quiet retreat for those looking to stay around Yosemite.
We absolutely loved the place! It was very convenient to where we wanted to go. We made great friends with many of the animals. We would definitely stay here again!
This stay was great, the animals were super friendly and fun to hang around, the fire was awesome after spending the day in yosemite along with the grill to cook dinner, the kitchen was super stocked and wade and becky were super friendly! would highly recommend staying here we had a great time.
What a fun farm to stay at! Donkeys, water buffalo, emus, guinea and some more common animals. Wade took us around with his four wheeler! Cabin itself is peaceful, comfortable beds, otherwise simple. The grill was great. Entrance to El Portal entrance of Yosemite was about a one-hour drive.
I loved our stay. The house was clean, kitchen had plenty of pots, pans, dishes in order to cook meals. Open space to gather with family, the farm animals are friendly and fun to interact with. I would definitely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Host were really helpful and welcoming. The farm animals were so friendly especially the dog and cat. Host set up the campfire for us and it was a beautiful and calm place to do star gazing.Kids will definitely love the place bcoz of the animals.Highly recommended
It is definitely a farm house with cute donkeys greeting us as we pulled in. I heard meowing too and sweet sweet Orangie (photos) is the most loving and friendly cat you will ever meet. He has a part of my heart after this trip. Please pet him, he’s very soft and just gives unconditional love. Doby(?) the big white dog is the protector of the animals on the farm. Friendly and sweet as well! They have a washer & dryer with soap and dryer sheets to use which was a plus for us. The only AC is in the window of the living room which works great but if you use the ceiling fans and open windows at night, we slept comfortably. It was hot days too. Hosts are very friendly and quick communication. Thank you so much! We loved the animals that surrounded us! Great place to take your kids.
We enjoyed our stay very much. It was a peaceful place to rest. Getting to Yosemite from the location was easy. My girls thoroughly enjoyed playing with all of the animals. We appreciated the use of a washer and dryer on the property as well.
Most hospitable family and farm experience. Close proximity to Yosemite for hiking and sightseeing. Comfortable home with everything you could ask for and more, immersed in nature. Trails, farm animals, a personal atv tour of the area from our host Wade and sunset by the blazing fire pit under the old oak tree. Pure serenity and peace. We will return for sure! Loved it.
Great time and perfect for our family (2 adults and 4 elementary aged kids). Proximity to Yosemite was why we chose it, but the farm animals were a great added bonus and lots of fun for the kids.
Great place to stay as a base for Yosemite. Booked for a family trip during spring break with my adult and teenage kids. The main room was nice and open, lots of light and a whole house fan helped cool the place down when needed. Was able to cook several meals with the provided items in the kitchen, no in sink garbage disposal so food scraps have to go in trash. Everything was as advertised, nice quiet spot to relax in between treks. Also the farm animals (mainly donkeys) gave it an extra cozy feel. Host was very friendly, made sure we didn't have any issues and gave us more info on the animals. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
More Than a Stay — A True Home Away From HomeWhen I was looking for a place to stay for our Yosemite trip, I wanted something affordable, in a good location, and away from the really touristy areas. When I saw this place was on a family farm with animals, I knew it would be a good fit for us since my husband and I both love animals. It ended up being even better than I expected. The house was clean, comfortable, private, and having a kitchen was a big plus. The animals were such a special part of our stay. Orangie the cat was always around when we were “home,” and Dally, their Great Pyrenees, was so sweet, loving, and friendly. I started calling the donkeys the “Donkey Squad” because they greeted us every morning and always made us laugh. They loved their apples and carrots, and each one had its own personality. We also loved the little piggy who enjoyed belly rubs and treats, the water buffalo, and shy little Pickles the sheep, who liked to watch from a distance. I was really hoping Fiona’s foal would arrive while we were there, but I’ll be looking forward to seeing pictures. The family was wonderful and made us feel so welcome. By the end of the trip, it didn’t feel like just a place we were staying. It felt like a place we belonged. Leaving was hard, and it truly felt like saying goodbye to a home away from home.
