Splendid… Spotless… Supplied “Charming private basement apartment with kingsize bed in brilliant Halifax” is all it claims and more. The pictures are accurate. It was spotlessly clean and well supplied for our three-night stay in Halifax. A perfect and restful spot while we explored the Halifax Harbor and Peggy’s Cove and the south shore. Highly recommended. Richard.

Nice cost place outside of Halifax that was close to rte highways and really central to everything. Gracious host with clear instructions on how everything worked. Couldn't have asked for a better weeks stay.

Nice place

Host had good communication and supportive. Basement suite was well furnished and comfortable. Only a minor inconvenience was the secondary pellet heater, which was hard to figure out properly and control.

This property did not live up to our expectations. The first and most disconcerting thing is that the unit was fitted with a dehumidifier that ran constantly and very noisily, including through the night. The kitchen was advertised to be fully fitted to prepare meals. There were several appliances in the kitchen but the stove was a two burner hot plate, not a stove at all. In addition, notes were posted in the kitchen not to use more than one appliance at a time or the circuit breaker would pop. Tought to cook a full meal under those limitations.Early in the morning the noise of water running down the pipe from the toilet being flushed upstairs woke us up. Shortly thereafter footsteps could be heard moving around upstairs.The unit was chilly and there only seemed to be a wood stove to heat.When we paid our final instalment the day before arrival was the first time we were provided pictures of how to access our unit. That was when we discovered we would have to take our luggage through a gate and down a significant slope ... that was damp and potentially slippery. Not good for a couple of very senior citizens.We were so disappointed that we stayed only the first night and then arranged alternate accommodation for the next four nights, foregoing our payment for five days at the Vrbo.
