Thank you for your review however I would like to point out that the owner Dan maintains the grounds and is the “maintenance man”. He is also the owner and operator of Appalachian log homes of Georgia and has 40+ years experience on how to maintain and upkeep a treehouse or log cabin. He has maintenance schedules and more that keep him on track with the upkeep of our treehouses. Not to mention AIRBNB JUST LEFT from doing an exclusive story with us to list us in their upcoming treehouse release. I apologize if there were house spider webs but when you are staying in a treehouse, especially on the lake, you are going to have bugs, it is inevitable. Dirt Daubers are not aggressive and I informed you of this via text. Of course there are going to be webs on the porch on the edge of a lake. The spiders actually help eat bugs. Our housekeeping cleans and sanitizes the treehouses in between each guests stay. So again I apologize if a web was missed. Not only that house spiders can put up another web in less than 30 minutes. Our grounds are cut every week as long as the weather permits, which may I remind you is 300 acres and it rained the day before y’all arrived. So this is why mud and leaves were on the ramp because of the weather the day before you arrived. One of the reasons that you stated that you had left early is because your husband was upset that your car was being drove up and down a dirt driveway. I know that your car would have made it up the hill because we have had rolls Royces, Mercedes Benz, Bentleys and more stay at the treehouse by the lake but y’all chose to park it at the bottom which was entirely your choice. We understand that people who are use to driving on flat ground, similar to the city, can be intimidated by hills. We tired to accommodate and offer our assistance as much as possible but we understand “we cannot make everyone happy”. Please understand that when you book a reservation there are details that inform you of the cancellation policies, driving directions (which includes detailed directions on how to get to our treehouse on the 300+ acre farm) and more. You reviewed and agreed to the VBRO cancellation policy. We strive to accommodate our guests to the best of our abilities but like I said, “We cannot please everyone”. This treehouse is located in the woods and there are bugs, mud, leaves, grass, wild animals and more in the woods, on the back side of 300+ acre farm. We strive to preserve nature as we enjoy it, bugs and all.
