The host is absolutely wonderful, the cabin itself is so beautiful. It is clean, quiet, and just relaxing. My husband and I are definitely staying again!
I had high hopes for this property based on the reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. Communication with the host was difficult. She was unresponsive to my messages, and VRBO had to step in before she replied just days before check-in. Check in was easy and convenient. Upon arrival, we were greeted kindly by the host and dogs, but there were many issues once we entered the cabin. The interior was covered in mouse droppings. On countertops, window sills, the floor, behind the headboard, even near the guest book. I understand it is a cabin in the woods, but there was clearly an infestation. A clear health and safety issue. Additionally, there were numerous bugs and visible gaps and holes to the outside, including a window that wouldn’t fully close. We decided it was unsafe to stay and left. I informed the host, who was apologetic and offered a full refund and a future stay. She admitted to knowing about the holes and expressed embarrassment. However, she never followed through with the refund and has since stopped responding to messages. It's now been over a week with no communication or resolution. I would not recommend this property.

Clearly, this woman does
Not understand much about policies (or life itself), except for how to make a noise for a refund. I told her that when her money was sent to me from.VRBO, I would gladly send her money back. She, however, obviously wanted me to refund her from my pocket, instead of from her money. She threw a little hissy fit & VRBO refunded her. I never received a dime of her money! And since this is a cabin in the woods, you will see critters EVERYWHERE! After I received her message, I went and took a look at the cabin she says was infested with rats, and was shocked to find the place CLEAN! I took photos and attached them to her record, so I can have proof that this lady, in fact, just clearly isn’t comfortable in a cabin, set in the COUNTRY on a DIRT ROAD on the LAKE! There is all kinds of wildlife, and even if you think you’re better than alllllllll the other people in the world, you are NOT immune to what happens in nature! She may kick and scream and make as much noise as she likes, it doesn’t change the facts!
