This stunning Georgian Colonial was built around 1840 and is loaded with period features and architectural details throughout its 5,004 SF main house which sits on 20+ acres of pastures and woodlands with a tennis court & in-ground pool.
This property is great for family reunions, weekend getaways and connecting with nature. Turn off the electronics and unwind, reconnect to the way life use to be. Enjoy the Great Room and its stone fireplace or lounge by the inground swimming pool.
Situated minutes from Manchester and Nashua, NH and less than an hour from Boston, MA, the NH Seacoast and the mountains, Journey Cake Farm is the perfect home base for all that a New England vacation offers.
Attractions close by include LaBelle Winery, Amherst Country Club, Hampshire Hills Sports Complex, Souhegan River for fishing and kayaking and direct access to 70 acres of conservation land.

Perfect house for a large family! We travelled to NH to celebrate the life of our beloved YiaYia. Eight adults and six grandchildren were charmed by the home. Very well appointed with all the necessities.

Perfect stay for a family wedding

Journey cake Farm was the perfect house for my whole family to stay for a wedding we were attending… The house was lovely with lots of bedrooms and the property, including a tennis court, was beautiful… The changing fall leaves was an added bonus!! The house was very clean and welcoming, and the host could not have been nicer!

Wedding Weekend

We used farmhouse as a base for my daughter's nearby wedding. The house is well appointed with space for everyone. The morning room had great light for getting ready and the grounds made a lovely backdrop for pictures. We would surely go back for another family gathering.

Awesome getaway house with wonderful grounds

Laura and her sister Joyce were great hosts. Communication before and during our stay was excellent. The house and grounds were spotless and equipped with everything anyone would need. The house and pool are much nicer than the pictures convey and there is a wonderful firepit, tennis court and walking trails. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of space for our large family. We were all very comfortable and loved every moment of our stay. This is definitely somewhere you want to stay and we would definitely visit again. Thank you for hosting us!

Family reunion

Family came together from California, North Carolina, and Utah to stay at this wonderful farm while visiting relatives in Amherst, NH. We all fit very comfortably and really enjoyed our time at this lovely property. The owner, Laura, greeted us. The house is tastefully decorated and was very clean. Everything we needed was in the kitchen. There is a large great room where we were able to play music and sing without bothering any neighbors, since the property is 20 acres. We will definitely rent this home again in the future!

Incredible Giant property

This place was unbelievable. It was like three houses in one. So giant. We were there was nine people and we couldn’t find each other half the time. You could probably fit 40 people in this house. Also, there was a pool, a tennis court, giant yard of multiple levels, a little vegetable farm that you can pick from. It feels like the kind of place that you can go to for months and never leave the grounds!

We rented the place for my sister's wedding and almost had all the rooms taken. 4 kids, bunch of adults. Plenty, plenty of room for everyone. Plenty of room for the kids to explore. Bridesmaids got ready at the house before wedding. And even though it was raining the house is so beautiful that there were plenty of places for great pics. Bride was thrilled. Highly recommend the house. Everything you need is at the house for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic New Year’s Stay

Our family of 12 adults and 2 little ones spent 5 days over New Years at this fantastic, warm, happy home. So many bedrooms! All were so comfortable! This house is huge, and so thoughtfully decorated- we especially appreciated all the Christmas decorations throughout the house. In addition to being so spacious, it was immaculately clean and so very well equipped. We enjoyed family meals in the large dining room, and spent hours and hours in the Great room by the fire. Hiking and walking right out the door were enjoyed by many.. Laura met us at check in and toured the home with us,, giving us background and history on the home, which we really appreciated. Our winter stay was amazing, I can only imagine how wonderful it would be to stay in the summer.

In love with the property. 11 of us (all adults) stayed in this impressive farmhouse, enough beds to accommodate us and more . Each room, true to its name had a charm of its own.The den with fireplace ,comfy couches and throws sealed the deal for us. But there could have been more couches in that space for all of us to lounge comfortably.Special mention to the owner, Laura who was very accommodating and sweet to us .The house had everything we needed and more .Although there were some minor glitches (one light not working, protruding nail on the staircase, weird late night noises in the den ), we had a top notch experience.We would love to visit again in summer and utilize the pool as well.

Just what I expected

Perfect location for family and friends to celebrate our daughter's wedding. The house was exactly as the listing promised. The family really enjoyed the great room with comfortable couches and the pool table room. But just like any house, most of the activity surrounded the kitchen and adjacent dining room. All spaces were quite comfortable. Most people noted that the beds were quite firm and comfortable as well. Plenty of activity outside as well with the tennis courts, pool and horseshoe pit! The only constructive criticism I would give is that hot water was quite spotty and many a cold/lukewarm shower were taken, with the odd hottish shower thrown in as a welcome surprise. Probably some shower and toilet upgrades would truly make this a special place. Overall we were hoghly satisfied with the experience.

New Hampshire Estate

This is an amazing house. The place is huge with tons of beds and places to hang out. Our favorite was the side porch with a great view of the woods. The house is incredibly clean. Laura is an amazing host providing a full tour of the house and was quick to respond with any questions. The property is surrounded by woods with hiking trails right out back and it has a big pool. Would recommend this property to anyone coming to the area!

Great for Large Groups

This was our second time staying at Journey Cake. The owners have added some nice updates since our last stay 2 years ago. The firepit was a welcomed addition as we were able to all hang out late into the evening together. The tennis courts were cleaned and updated so the kids made use of them this time around. The pool area is clean and spacious. Just wished the refrigerator out there was working. With a large group comes lots of food and beverages and we could have utilized another refrigerator. The house is very large and situated on a good sized piece of land. Plenty of bedrooms and places around the house for people to relax. Highly recommend.

Wedding Party and guest house

This property was perfect for our wedding party and their guests. Plenty of space and a great way to spend time together outside of the wedding. Also, had plenty of room for hair and make-up for everyone before the wedding. The owner was very nice and easy to get a hold of. The beds weren't super comfortable -- mattress toppers would do wonders! Overall, great experience.
